Hallo 'Kak Ros' & Bye-bye 'Merah Ang-ang'

Assalamualaikum & hi!

It's 12.59 a.m & here I am updating this blog, by using *coughs* our new laptop

A.H & I are not the type of people who would buy things when we feel like to. We only buy thing(s) when it's necessary, like when my old 4 year 5 month old Lenovo laptop (until its final breath, it hasn't got a proper name yet although I had considered calling it 'Cik Merah Ang-ang') decided to betray me 3 days ago (and made my all precious photos that I've been keeping since 2000 gone *weeps*) & we currently have some Korea dramas that we follow/watch online.

Tergendala aktiviti kami suami isteri menonton Korean dramas for 3 days. Lols!

Couldn't afford yet to buy a Macbook, especially when our nephew, Umar likes to hijack our laptop to watch his fav videos on YouTube pahtu bila internet slow sikit dia suka mengkaki-kan monitor. Oh the horror! So, no Macbook la for now, not until Umar is mumayyiz enough to appreciate things.

Kids nowadays are so advanced. Kecik-kecik dah pandai request nak tengok itu & ini, swipe here & there. Even my 10 month old niece, Maryam has her own Fisher & Price laptop! (although its functions are rather limited. No internet browser :P)

I might be the last person you would consult before you buy a laptop because I'm hapless like that. So, it was A.H who did all the readings on the reviews, market price etc (thank you, Baby! ♥). I just nodded at everything the salesperson said despite only understood like 30% of it. Oh, I remember! I did contribute something! Both A.H & I had a mutual agree on the colour of the laptop that we wanted! #refusedtobecalledabimbo

On our way home, I asked A.H what we shall call this new laptop of ours. His reply was "Kak Ros sebab Umar suka Kak Ros (Upin Ipin's sister)" -.-' 

And that's the reason why he calls his car "Qu Puteh" because of its white colour & masa tu Que Puteh & Dato' Vida tengah famous #menslogic #menaresimple

Of Better Career Opportunity & #iwanttostayhereforevercan?

On 03/08/2016 recently was A.H's 1st year anniversary of working in Kelantan. Well, honestly, I should give FB Reminder a few credits for reminding us. Lols!

It's cliched but I would say that the past 1 year passed by so fast.

When we got married in February 2015, A.H was still a House Officer (H.O) in HKL & I was working in my hometown in K.Bharu. So, we were in the LDR for 5 months. I remember quitting my job prior to his posting as a Medical Officer (M.O) as we were afraid that he might get transferred to West Malaysia, so that we could prepare things in advance. I was jobless for almost a month & I felt so restless. Made me think whether my all time favourite ambition yakni being a housewife does really suit me :P Alhamdulillah, Allah swt has been so generous with us. From HKL, A.H was sent to work in Kelantan.

For the time being, for 5 days a week A.H needs to travel about 60km plus to his workplace, returns later at 10 p.m & arrives home at 11 p.m. I know it's very tiring to A.H but we are still very thankful for that. At least, no more LDR for both of us

Anyhow, I know sooner or later A.H will make decision to move back to KL, either for his Master's Degree studies or better career opportunity. To be honest, I'm not ready yet to leave my utmost comfort zone yakni leaving behind my Parents here in my hometown & begin a new chapter of life staying elsewhere with him. But it will be utterly selfish of me to refrain him from doing what he yearns for, to become a specialist in his desired field.

I know it's for the sake of our future, for a better one hopefully. Amin & InsyaAllah

I won't lie that thinking about this makes me feel uneasy, what's more with the e-mail that A.H had received recently regarding his career development. We haven't had a proper talk on this because previously, a whatsapp conversation on this topic eventually led to super emo me. Lols! #dilemaseorangisteri #dilemaseoranganak #ilovekelate #mayistayhereforever? #iwanttostayhereforevercan?

Oh, speaking about my profession; on 22/08/2016  recently I celebrated my 3rd year anniversary of being admitted as an advocate & solicitor at the High Court of Malaya *beams with pride*

One thing about my profession, you may choose to practice in any place you wish which is really an advantage for anyone who wants to settle down on any soil in Malaysia. Tak kesah la nak practice kat Kuala Krai ke, Gua Musang ke, Temerloh ke, Batu Kurau ke, Langkawi ke, Batu Berendam ke (I just pluck the place names tiada kaitan dengan yang hidup atau yang sudah pergi). Anywhere under the Sun kekdahnya (with exception to Sabah & Sarawak. Ada special requirements that you need to follow if you wish to practice there) as long as the firm you're attached/working with is registered with the Malaysian Bar.

August is definitely a month to celebrate, beside our birthday month which is January :)

Penutup macam tergantung. Maka, terimalah photo ini taken about a month before our Wedding, dengan berlatarbelakangkan dinding airport. How we appeared younger & thinner 17 months ago is still a mystery -.-'

Raya 2016

Assalamualaikum & hi! Selamat Hari Raya Day 17!

Finally, after 17 days from the last post I've got my blog modjo back! Since we are still pretty much in the spirit of Raya, allow me to share my Raya stories albeit a little bit late #teamrayasebulan

Since A.H & I spent previous Raya  in Kota Bharu last year, it was our turn this year to celebrate in Batang Kali (his Family previously lived in Wangsa Maju before A.H bought a house in Tamu Hill Park, Batang Kali & the whole Family moved there last year) & Melaka (the FIL's kampung). But being a workaholic person A.H is, he didn't take any Raya leave at all -.-'

We left for Batang Kali on Tuesday, 05/07/2016 which was the evening before Raya & on Sunday, 10/07/2016, he was already back to work! Double -.-' Me on the other hand, had a week Raya leave from 04 until 11/07

Oh well, at least I got to spend the first day of Raya with him & all that matters ayte?

 05/07/2016, Tuesday

Since I was already on Raya leave, I had to fetch A.H from his clinic. Left home at 12.15 pm & arrived in Kuala Krai about 1 hour & 10 minutes later. Being a sentimental me, of course I had to take a few photos of the House before I bid a temporary farewell #hatitisu

 This year, Raya berdua. Semoga ada rezeki untuk beraya bertiga next year. Aminkan please? Tqvm!

We left for Batang Kali at 2 p.m & Alhamdulillah, by 6.45 p.m, we already arrived at Tamu Hill Park. Sempat la iftorr dengan In-laws. The traffic heading to KL was smooth but not the other way around sebab it was estimated that 3 JUTA WEHHH KENDERAAN MASUK KELANTAN RAYA HARI TU! Eh sorry! Kita tercaps lock pulok! 

After iftorr, I was actually expecting a masak-masak session, like me, my Mother & my Sister always had at home. Since the demise of arwah Ayah Long & Che Moh a few years ago, Abah is the eldest in Pak Chu Lah clan now, beside Nenek, so rumah memang kena serbu by our relatives. Hence, the reason we always had makan-makan do on the first day of Raya. We cooked & served dishes like nasi dagang or nasi minyak, roti jala, satay, laksa penang & other mouth-watering dishes eh lapau pulak taip pasal food ni ha. So, on malam Raya, we literally slept in the kitchen & only went to sleep at 2 or 3 a.m. Masak macam nak kenduri kekdahnya!

But, things were different when Raya-ing with the In-law. On malam Raya, we baked 2 types of biskut Raya, led by A.H himself. Actually, the MIL dah awal-awal siap masak untuk juadah pagi Raya. One of it was rendang which its spicy level was on par with my standard of pedasness. Kak Sue approved!

I was tasked to put over the sprinkles on the semperit while A.H had the toughest & leceh-est job; pressing the dough onto the trays. I know mine was a useless job because even my almost 3-year-old nephew, Umar could do that but at least I contributed something. Lols!

Maryam Is 4 Months Old Today! ♥

Maryam & Papa Su A.H

My niece, Maryam Nur Safiyyah turns 4 months old today! Alhamdulillah & yayy! ♥

I do realize that I rarely talked about her here, compared to my nephew, Umar The Abang Long Kawasan. Not because I less sayang her but oh come on, she's only spent 4 months in this world & all this while, all things that she did was slleep, eat, poop & the recycle repeated

But for the past 2 weeks, she has shown some sides of her fun self! I can foresee this girl will continue to growing up as a fun girl aka Umar's sidekick slash wing-girl slash troublemaker duo 

Maryam had her weekly check-up this evening & she's currently 6.2 kg. Good job Maryam! Padanlah dengan the amount of milk she hah had every time. Hehe! But still cannot lawan her brother who weight the same when he was just 3 months old & membesar bagaikan juara until now. Umar was 20kg 3 month ago & he was just 2y2m at that time. Now agak-agak berapa ye? -.-'

Alang-alang dah cakap macam mak-mak already, here is a list of Maryam's milestones so far:-

• She has started to roll over. The first time was 2days ago, 07/03/2016. Not bad eyh?
• She's able to smile, laugh, coo & hmmm jerit? She likes when people pay attention at her & she will coo in a high pitch to get people's attention
• She's very manja with Tok Ma & has started to show her interest on A.H hingga menyebabkan Abam Umar jealous & berasa sedikit tercabar. Hallo guys! He has a wife already & she's your aunt yakni your beloved Mama Sue!

• She's able to recognize people. Like the photo above, it was taken this morning before A.H left for work & Maryam was trying her luck to be picked up by A.H. Lols! Nasib baik la Papa Su work petang, boleh la main-main dengan Umar & Maryam in the morning
• She's a light sleeper, very easy to be waken up by Umar's voice or people/person passing by. Fuhh! So tricky!

Ok la fine, sebab Umar boboy & he's very lasak & you're ladylike but that doesn't mean that we love you less. I wrote here before of how different both of you are

Your smile, coo & laughter brighten up our days before we get our serious mode on at work. It sucks being adults you know. Haih! Tiba-tiba emo tak semena-mena

Hallo! Can You Hear Me?

Assalamualaikum & hallo!

I remember those days when I was single, had less commitment & my life was more interesting (trust me kids. Being a working adult is boring *yawns*), updating this blog had always been my priority. But now, oh how things have changed & how my priority/priorities have shifted. I barely have time to blog like I used to. I missed to update some of important events which had happened in my life, only relying on Instagram to keep the memory alive

Earlier this month, I made a vow to myself to update more. But look at the last entry which I posted on 07/02, which was almost 3 weeks ago.Heh!

I guess, that's the price (almost) everyone has to pay for being an adult, especially if you're working 9 hours per day, 5 days a week. Sigh!

Nonetheless, here is a list of things that I want/would like to update later. InsyaAllah:

• A.H & I's Wedding Anniversary on 21/02/2016
• The dilemma(s) with my job & the decision that I've made
• Some wedding stories/photos to share because it's always easier to refer to my blog. Hehe!
• Some petty stories that I would like to remember. Like trying out a new eating place with A.H or stories about my nephew & niece because I'm a memory hoarder like that. Hehe!

The Day I Bid Goodbye To My Wisdom Tooth

I had a minor oral surgery (MOS) to remove my wisdom tooth (which was horizontally erupted) at HUSM on 05/01/2016, Tuesday. Alhamdulillah, everything went well. I was given 3 days of MC & oh my Allah, can't imagine how my days would be if they didn't give the MC & I still have to go to work!

Prior to the MOS, I went to HUSM on 25/11/2015 & had my teeth examined & x-rayed. Was explained that my right bottom wisdom tooth is horizontally impacted with most of it below the gum line while the upper is partially erupted. That explains a countless series of bad & deep ulcers on my cheeks, headache, fever etc I've had since 2008

The MOS procedure took about 2 hours, right from my history & blood pressure reading were taken, they put me under local anaesthesia (LA) (2 doses of it), the removal of my bottom right wisdom tooth (Still have another one but nanti la dulu. Lols!), was explained on the need to have soft diet for a couple of days to collecting my medicines

During the MOS, my face (except the mouth area) & my upper body were covered with green cloth but I still could see the tools used hasil dari intaian di sebalik lipatan bahagian mata. Hehe! And it would probably took me some times to forget the loud krenggg krengggg sound when they tried to korek my wisdom tooth & pull it out. Perghh! Bergegor kepala 

Although I was put under LA, I still could feel the pain & pressure on the gum. Other than syahadah, berzikir etc, I also had my own mantra yakni "Ore lain sakit supo ni jugok. So come on! I can do this", "If you had the patience to bear the pain since 2008, so why not now?" etc. Oh, I also forced myself to sleep but that krenggg krengggg sound was utterly disturbing 

At the end of the MOS,  they satured (jahit) my gum 3x & I could see the kilatness of the thread they used. Lols! Haven't had the heart to look at them until now but dapat rasa lah dengan lidah. Oh, right after the MOS, they showed me my babies, I mean my wisdom which was broken into 4 pieces & despite the pain, numbness around my face & difficulty to speak because I had gauze inserted into my mouth, I still had the chance to ask, "Can I keep them?" #formemorysakekekdahnya 

10 days after the MOS, it's safe to say that I'm 90% recovering (except for the ulcer(s)), compared to the first 4 days after the MOS where I still could feel the pain, my face was swollen & swallowing own saliva pun required some hard work, let alone nak makan. And being a nasik lover I'm, of course being under soft diet was hard for me. I was so hungry & it frustrated me that I only could have only porridge. Dok rokk bohh makey bubur pagi petey siey maley. I lost almot 2 kg within that grief period which is quite nice actually. Hehe!

Tqvm to Klinik Pakar Pergigian HUSM, especially to everyone who involved during the MOS for their great hospitality. I was surrounded by a couple of final year dental students, including one Chinese guy who assisted during the MOS & hopefully, adik-adik sekalian beroleh manfaat daripada pemerhatian adik-adik terhadap gigi bongsu akak itteww!

Tqvm to A.H for taking a leave & teman kita on that day. Gara-gara the MOS, I had to postpone his birthday celebration because what's birthday celebration without a festive makan-makan?

Hallo 2016

Assalamualaikum & hi!

I know I'm 7 days late but it's better late than never. As usual, have been occupied with some office work that I barely have time to update yadayadayada

A few days before 2016, I had planned to do a 2015 recap post, just to have an overview on some important events/things that had happened throughout 2015. Tapi ke sudahhh tak dan. Marriage life + working from 8.30 a.m to 5.30 p.m definitely have taken most of my times away. Tsk!

Anyway, as usual & like most of determined people out there, I have a few 2016 resolutions which needless to say have been recycled over the years. Lols! 

• Be a better person, inside out. Amin!
• Be more positive & not being judgmental. And oh, be kind to anyone despite their attitude. Seriously susah yang ni tapi don't worry, Allah kan ada
• Mengaji & learn more about Islam
• Read more (english) books 
• Speak more English. I have a weird accent; it's a confused combination of British, American & hmmm Kelate accent? Go figure! Lols!
• Eat healthier & do more exercise
• Spend more times with the Families & the In-laws ♥
• Give more to people in need. You'll never be poorer by giving sadaqah :)
• Make some new friends
• Travel to a/some new place(s). Tapi dapat keluar beli KFC dengan A.H pun dah happy actually 
• Blog more
• New job/workplace? You'll never know :P
• To be a Mama! If Allah wills, aminnn!
• Be happier! 

Macam banyak pulak 2016 resolutions mek

Tapi seriously as you turn older & start working, new year doesn't bring much change pun kepada persekitaran, except that for the first few days macam tersilap lagi tulis 2016 jadi 2015 & you still need to carry around or refer your 2015 planner. Life goes on as usual; you wake up in the morning, get ready & dressed, go to work (or in my case, courts), crack your head up trying to solve your clients' problems biarpun masalah sendiri pun banyak tak sempat nak fikir etc. It's the same cycle of life you have to face every single day. Lainlah kalau kita ni budak sekolah yang baru start kindergarten or primary school, nescaya sedikit excited nak pergi sekolah

Anyway, A.H & I kunun-kununnya welcome 2016 by makan-makan outside that night

Alhamdulillah. Misi hujung tahun 2015 telah berjaya kami capai. A.H lost 500g while yours truly lost 1kg. Maka kami menyambut pencapaian tersebut di Secret Recipe. Terus naik balik 1kg. Lols!

The Day My Husband Turns 30 ♥

Happy birthday to the Love of my life, my bestfriend, my Imam, my financial advisor, my eating & jalan-jalan buddy (the reason why we go rounder together. Lols!), my personal doctor & hopefully, the reason for us to obtain Jannah together, insyaAllah 

I'm so sorry that there's no special celebration whatsoever for your birthday, not even a birthday card. I had planned to get you something this week but the aftermath of the minor oral surgery to remove my wisdom tooth which I had on Tuesday (tqvm for accompanying me!) is (very) painful, I haven't been able to 'sneak out' from the house yet but don't worry as I'm planning to have a massive celebration soon; your birthday (07/01), your first Hello on FB chat (11/01/2014), my birthday (23/01) & the day we met for the first time (28/01/2014). January is definitely a month to celebrate ey? #cooljanuarybabies #wearecoolliddat #borntobecool #lols 

(On more serious note) Every day, I thank Allah swt for blessing me with a kind husband like you, who has completed me. I may not be the epitome of how a perfect wife should be *shy* but you're one of the reasons who makes me want to be a better person every day, inside out. InsyaAllah. Sorry you haven't had the chance yet to taste the best pancake in the worlddddd (an inside joke. Lols!), but behold, a kitchen goddess is on her way! *typing this makes me shiver a bit*

Life has its twists & turns, but as long as we have each other & Allah swt, remain sabr & cool, insyaAllah things will go accordingly. Remember our favourite ayah? "So verily with every difficulty, there is relief. Verily with every difficulty there is relief" (al Inshirah 94: 5-6). Amin!

Happy birthday again, Dr Baby! ♥ Minum air banyak-banyak please to maintain muda! I love you Lillahitaala!
