Assalamualaikum & Ramadhan kareem!

Just a short update before my bed time. Fuhh! Last update was on the 15th day of Ramadhan & today, there's a week left before Eid. Gelabah pulak rasa nak Raya ini. Adakah kerana tahun ini giliran beraya di kampung A.H?

So far, I had had only 2 iftar out. One with the Firm clan at Sri Chengmai Restaurant on 22/06/2016 & the 2nd one was with my friend, Ira at Nando's, AEON Mall this evening. Sebagai peminat tegar nasi, haruslah memilih restautant yang menghidangkan nasi kerana apalah ertinya berbuka puasa tanpa makanan ruji itu bukan?

Sejak sudah berumahtangga 1 tahun 4 bulan yang lepas, macam kurang sikit aktiviti berbuka di luar bersama-sama rakan-rakan. Is this what we call as 'sindrom mak-mak' although I haven't had the rizq to become a mak yet? (InsyaAllah one day!) You know, when you find comfort to break your fast with your loved ones at home, taking your own sweet time ratah ayam masak pedas & have glasses of water pahtu tersadai di atas kerusi like a Muslimah version of whale?

While others were having Iftar, my 7 month-old niece, Maryam had to sit on her rocker & watch nursery rhymes on Youtube like a Lady Boss. Lols! Just look at that cute innocent face! Haih! Geramlah YamYam ni! ♥

13/06/2016. Char Kuew Tiau Timur, Kubang Kerian

A.H had a dream a few days ago about char kuew tiau (Lols! Random gile mimpi pasal food) which eventually led to eating at this one kedai near our house yang char kuew tiau dia sedappp! Pahtu, ada tea beng madu pulak tu. According to him, the best char kuew tiau that he ever tasted was from this one cafe in Auckland. Nasib baik Husband kite ni bukan yang jenis yang mengidam terukkan? Don't worry guys, he isn't pregnant :P

Here are some of A.H & yours trully's fun facts about Ramadhan. Wahh, retis pun bukan semua ada peluang masuk majalah Mangga dengan heading sebegini tahu? Tajuk fun facts pulak tu. Huh!

• This is the 2nd time A.H & yours truly celebrating Ramadhan together after the first one in July last year. Alhamdulillah
• A.H doesn't eat nasik for Sahur. He only has Gardenia bread yang RM0.80 sebungkus tu + dates + mineral water then off he goes back to sleep. While yours truly usually have cereal + fresh milk or warm milo + Jacob's weetameal crackers. Kalau makan nasik pun, kena make sure ade sambal yang kaw-kaw pedasnya. As for the Parents, wajib nasik
•  We don't like to go to bazar ramadhonnn. I only singgah bazar ramadhan or gerai-gerai on my way home only if I had to buy something. Tu pun baru sekali
• We haven't decided on the Raya theme colour. Thinking of pale yellow or pale pink + white
• Dah nama pun belum decide on theme colour, baju Raya pun haruslah belum ada
• We'll be celebrating Raya at A.H's paternal kampung this year yakniiiiiiii... Pantai Tanjung Puteri, Melaka! Alamak, Melaka accent kite belum benau-benau polished ni. The last time I went there, I had some difficulties to understand what the makcik-makcik were talking about. Stress benau kite (couldn't think of another perkataan Melaka other than benau. Nampak tak betapa teruk benau penguasaan bahasau Melaka kite?)

Malah doh ehh nak sambung. To be continued whenever I'm rajin. Lols! I'm actually waiting for A.H who had a locum slot tonight. Lepas ni baru nak terawikh together. Ya, at 10.48 pm pun masih belum terawikh & people keep wondering why I've eye bags T_T

Sejak habis qadha puasa 3 weeks ago, I have been in food hunting mood like there's no tomorrow. Perangai orang dewasa yang suka makan sangat kan? But there are lot of yummy food in our radar, rasa macam nak menangis kalau lunch hour terbuang begitu sahaja tanpa dipenuhi dengan aktivit jalan-jalan cari makan

Hallo! Can You Hear Me?

Assalamualaikum & hallo!

I remember those days when I was single, had less commitment & my life was more interesting (trust me kids. Being a working adult is boring *yawns*), updating this blog had always been my priority. But now, oh how things have changed & how my priority/priorities have shifted. I barely have time to blog like I used to. I missed to update some of important events which had happened in my life, only relying on Instagram to keep the memory alive

Earlier this month, I made a vow to myself to update more. But look at the last entry which I posted on 07/02, which was almost 3 weeks ago.Heh!

I guess, that's the price (almost) everyone has to pay for being an adult, especially if you're working 9 hours per day, 5 days a week. Sigh!

Nonetheless, here is a list of things that I want/would like to update later. InsyaAllah:

• A.H & I's Wedding Anniversary on 21/02/2016
• The dilemma(s) with my job & the decision that I've made
• Some wedding stories/photos to share because it's always easier to refer to my blog. Hehe!
• Some petty stories that I would like to remember. Like trying out a new eating place with A.H or stories about my nephew & niece because I'm a memory hoarder like that. Hehe!

I went to KB Mall alone on Monday evening right after work to get some stuff. I don't know about others but I'm a type of person who actually enjoys being a lone ranger once in a while. But the -ve side of it is I tend to wander around & spend on unnecessary items, sometimes on thing(s) which was/were totally not even in the shopping list or in my mind

• A syok sendiri selfie whilst stuck in the traffic jam. Garang tak muka titewww? :P

• Had an early dinner at The Manhattan Fish Market. Being so hungry & couldn't decide what to order are a worst combination. Speaking of which, kadang-kadang rasa serba salah nak begitahu A.H or makan sedap-sedap sorang-sorang knowing that he hasn't/hadn't eaten anything from the morning & stuck working in the OT/ward(s). Kesian para doktor bekerja keras dalam kelaparan. Sobs! Apa-apa pun, hidup mesti diteruskan & makanan perlu dihabiskan. This Thursday, InsyaAllah we dine together ok Dr? ♥

• We just adopted 2 kittens recently (Any suggestion for their names because we keep recycling our cats' names. Boboy, Kitty, Comel & the name repeated -.-') sebagai kawan kepada our male cat, Abam Boboy & my nephew, Umar. Having additional berbulu members means the needs to buy extra cat food & pasir untuk pernyahtinjaan every month. But I don't mind, I take that as a sedekah for them & insyAllah, a little investment for myself too. Hihi! Get fat quick guys & be bff ok, you four? (i.e Abam Boboy, Umar & the 2 kittens)

• I first started using eyeliner in 2012 & it was during my semester of LL.B at UiTM. It was Maybelline Hyper Sharp Liner & had been loyally using it ever since. Tapi hari tu gatal tangan nak try Maybelline Master Drama pulok. Bab mekap ni, memang mek harus akui mek agak noob. Ala-ala Ugly Betty gitteww. Semoga tidak menghampakan & tidak menambahkan drama dalam hidup mek. Jika menghampakan, mek bagi je kat Umar buat conteng-conteng dalam colouring book Upin Ipin dia. Heh!

Had a dinner date with one of my good friends, Baei on Monday evening after work. Oh my goodness, how happy I was when Baei asked me out because only Allah knows how much I need such date lately. Actually even bukan fancy date pun, as long as there's food served on the table, I'm a happy kid! So, tqvm Baei for the birthday treat! ♥ 

I've to admit that with all this ongoing wedding preparation, I've been stressed out

Every bride-to-be wants the best on their wedding & I'm not an exclusion. But of course when many parties are involved in planning 2 major events, you can't avoid a few misunderstanding & problems coming on your way. It's true that tolerance is the key while on the same time, you're trying so hard to make sure that your sanity is still intact with your soul. It's a dilemma between satisfying self-want/dream vs pleasing other people

Now I know how the title 'Bridezilla' got her name :P

24 days left before the Wedding. Ya Allah, please make everything easy for all of us. It freaks me out everyday of how fast time flies yet we still have a few things on the list untick. InsyaAllah, everything will go smooth as planned. So far, masih lena tidur pada waktu malam. Maybe sebab energy banyak keluar & otak penat berfikir pada siang hari

Can't wait for everything to be over. Nak qadha tidur please?

Arnold Cycling Cafe At KB Mall

Went to Arnold Cycling Cafe (ACC), a new cafe at KB Mall 2rd floor with the new pupil in the office, Mizah on last Monday. It was our first time there obviously & we were quite jakun. Jakun di sini merujuk kepada masuk, duduk, tunggu waiter datang only to be told later that we need to make our order at the counter. Maafin

ACC was originated from Penang & ACC in KB Mall is its first branch. It serves a variety of beverages (I read that its specialty is fresh brew Italian coffee), cakes, bread & sandwiches but oleh sebab jakun-ness tak habis lagi, we only had cold macadamia milk & cold chocolate drink. Would probably tried its yummy-looking cakes if not because of the price per slice. Hehe! Tak pe, next time maybe?

Had lunch (if you consider pancakes + chocolate smoothie as lunch. Lols!) at Lugano Coffee House, a newly renovated cafe behind my office yesterday with the boss & staff

It serves western food with an exception to a few types of nasi goreng sebab we Malay love nasi so much. There are also cakes, macaroons, sandwiches & a variety of beverages

I had underestimated this cafe before, thinking that it was just a slightly-better-but-has-been air-conditioned cafe from its original Hayaki Kopitiam. But the food is surprisingly good & its interior is nice. Some people may think the food is slightly overpriced but I think it's worth it

All in all, it's definitely another hang out spot for K.Bharu people, the youngsters especially

Went to #JANNAHMAD's wedding reception in Pasir Pekan on last Sunday

It was one of the beautiful & meriah wedding receptions I had ever attended. I heard that there were about 2000 guests came on that day & mind you, ini majlis bertandang di rumah pengantin lelaki ye? They surely had a long tiring day entertaining the guests. Hehe! Met a lot of fellow lawyers there; juniors & seniors. So, it was kind of a mini gathering plus free yummy kenduri food. Too bad my stomach was still full from bihon cambo that I had earlier

Btw, their pelamin vendor was Nurza Wedding House (the same vendor that we chose for our wedding in February. InsyaAllah) & the theme was rustic. It was definitely different from most pelamins that I had seen before

Our friend, Izzat J was there too. He came all the way from KL, singgah KT for his friend's wedding then datang sini for Ahmad's. Gigih nau pakcik sorang tu. Since he was alone & gigih nak pergi kenduri naik taxi -.-', I invited him to carpool sambil bawak jalan-jalan Pengkalan Kubur since he never had a chance to jalan-jalan di Kelate melainkan to attend court matters semata-mata. Lawatan sambil belajar sambil habiskan pitih kekdahnya

Of course I ajak-ed along my friend, Diha to accompany us too. Bertiga lebih baik. What, you think my fiance won't be jealous? We went to Pengkalan Kubur earlier & I bought him some chocolates & Nutella as upah sebab baik hati bagi permission. I love you, A.H. Hihi! ♥

Pengkalan Kubor is a duty free zone situated on Malaysia-Thailand border, about 45 minutes from K.Bharu. So yes, harga chocolates adalah lebih murah di sini compared to other places, at the airports especially. Lols! 

And oh, if datang sini jangan lupa try mee/bihun/megi/kuew tiau cambo Kedai Makan Kak Za situated right before gate keluar yang depan Bangunan Kastam tu. Untuk rasa lebih umph, sila tambah extra cili. Kebabommm! Terus senyap semua orang sebab tahan pedas. Dah la kedai Kak Za kita itu mengamalkan konsep mesra alam i.e no air conditioner. Ini baru tahap cry-me-a-river pedasnyaaaaaaa! Nasib baik after that tak sakit perut

Makan 3 orang plus air 3 gelas = RM19+. Ok la kan?

Bak kata orang Kelate, "Spoon licking good" or "Sedap sengoti tobak ehhhh!"

Food makes me happy. In fact, I don't mind spending a big amount of money from my gaji on food rather than on other stuff like clothes, make-ups etc. Sila rujuk gambar profile di sebelah kanan blog untuk menyokong hujahan

My Mother on the other hand, is not happy with this hobby of mine eating outside. Hehe!

Buttttttttt, I need time to socialize too kan after stressful days at the office. I think, approximately 3/4 of the pictures I uploaded on Instagram were the pictures of food which tells that I'm more interested on foodfie, rather than selfie

Nak-nak people have been commenting on how kurus I'm now i.e 41 kg. Tak molek kurus sangat dorang kata tapi masalahnya pipi mek ni je pun dah berapa kg T_T #dilemaseorangwanita

Happy 17th Birthday Baei!

Assalamualaikum & hi!

Went to Cafe Jiran, Jalan Demit K.Bharu (near Ajih Nasi Lemak) for dinner yesterday evening with my girlfriends. Since everybody is busy with work, life, qadha-ing tido etc, we didn't have time for typical Raya session together. So, a makan-makan do like this once in a while qadha-ed all the missing reunions we always planned to have

 

Everybody ordered the same dish (despite the fact that Baei & Che Ra took like forever before they could decide what they want on the menu *rolls eyes*). Lupa pulak fancy name dia, juicy ape ntah but lamb chop la kekdahnya. RM18.60 per plate if I'm not mistaken

It was either our knives were blunt or lamb tu yang liat but it was still good. Love the mashed potato & the sauce. The pizza was also good. If it wasn't because I was already full, I would have finished 2 slices of pizza in the blink of eyes. Gitteww!

Oh, it was also Baei's birthday yesterday! Happy 17th birthday Baei! ♥ (banyak gila discount umur. Lols!) This girl turns a year older but her sense of humours never seemed to fade away. We were classmates for 4 years at Sains Pasir Puteh & she's definitely been my source of laughter & stok gosip all these years. Hehe! And I know I'm in the right set of friends when the first thing we do whenever we meet is laugh laugh & laugh

Jumpa then ketawa tanpa sebarang alasan kukuh, adakah anda juga memiliki kawan-kawan sebegini?
