#nikkonizam

Assalamualaikum & hi!

Yesterday was such a productive Saturday. Not because we had another day off on Sunday but also because I was one of the Bridesmaids for my friend, Alia's reception *throws pink white & gold confetti whilst twirling like a ballerina*

Her akad nikah was held on Friday, 03/06/2016 but I had a family bbq at home, so I had to skip it. But for the Reception yesterday afternoon, I was among the earliest to arrive. Tqvm A.H for the company. Kesian dia tunggu lama. Dah la tak ada kawan, pahtu wife dia busy betul jadi bridesmaid. Lols! #siskomited

Prior to the Wedding, I received this parcel which contained garment to be worn during the Reception.
Took me a week to finally unwrap it because so sayang lah

Bridesmaid on duty for #nikkonizam's second Reception

My second time here at Alia's house but it still got me jakun because look at it! It's hugeeee!

Beautiful dais from Nurza Wedding House, the same wedding planner I had had for my Wedding

Let me present you, the beautiful Bride!
Baju tema Frozen sangat kan? Hehe!

Credit to the photographer, @tanwiin.co

Ya enough with the Bridesmaids' photos. I think I'm the only married woman kot sebab yang lain tu macam single je lagi & of course, younger than me. Sis redha. Bak kata pepatah, with age, comes wrinkles & double chins

Oh btw, Alia's house is so beautiful that I had to shamelessly pose around fefeeling Raya photoshoot. Of course with A.H as my partner

This is my favourite one! Maka haruslah jadi hp wallpaper

Mengapakah sis kelihatan gemuk ye dalam gambar walhal berat sis 45kg je. It must be the cembung pipis I have T_T

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

To Alia,
Enjoy being a Mrs! I make it short & simple sebab dah selalu bagi tazkiroh dalam Whatsapp group kan? :P

2013 & 2016. Well, some things remain unchanged :')

Wedding Marathons

Assalamualaikum & hi!

I can't remember the last time I blogged about the wedding reception that I had attended. Sejujurnya pada usia begini, most of my friends are either busy organizing majlis akikah or majlis harijadi anak yang pertama atau kedua. I even had a batchmate from my secondary school whose her first daughter is already in standard 1 and she has 3 kids already. Untunglah beliau kahwin awal

And that makes feel old tiba-tiba T_T

Putting the keluh kesah berasa tua aside, the recent Chinese New Year holiday was filled with attending wedding receptions here & there which kept A.H & I busy, not to forget, spent our time on wheels to reach the kenduri venues. Maklumlah musim perayaan ni, bekwoh & jam berpisah tiada

Fyi, bekwoh is a local word for "Big Work". Hilir key tuhh ore Kelate. We speak a lot of English you know, after our own Kelantanese dialect #jangankecammek #orekelatehilirsokmo #membangunbersamaislam

1) The Wedding of Shauki & Intan
Shauki & Intan, both of them are my lawyered comrades & their love story is another epitome of "Kalau dah jodoh tak ke mana". Hehe!

Seriously guys (especially to those who are still single & searching for Mr/Mrs Right), jodoh will come at the right time with the right person. Of course you still need to put some efforts on finding a perfect one di samping fix your relationship dengan Allah swt, but kalau bukan jodoh kite, lagi seminit nak akad nikah pun still boleh tercansel

I've been knowing Intan since UiTM as she was my batchmate & Shauki was our junior by 1 semester & it happens to be that he's my former Cikgu Bahasa Melayu's son during secondary school. Hehe. Intan & I we started to get close when we began our pupillage in Kota Bharu in 2012 (4 years ago? Already? Feeling ancient now T_T). I know some of her stories, she knew mine, we exchanged our keluh kesah, when I got engaged she was still single, when I got married first in Feb 2015, she got engaged & a year later, she's become a Mrs already. Alhamdulillah

 03/02/2016

2 days before their Akad Nikah, Ira & I went to Intan's house at Taman Guru to menyibuk. The bride-to-be looked so letih already with all the wedding preps & flu. Teringat pulak masa kita kalut-kalut nak kahwin dulu.

 05/02/2016

With only one lafaz at 3.10 pm, 05/02/2016, Shauki did it with style!. Mujur sekali jah, padey la dgn title loyar. Hehe! #peerpressure

06/02/2016, the Reception
Begitu tawaduk sekali pengantin lelaki itteww berjalan. Lols! A.H & I didn't get stay long during the reception as we had another 2 wedding invitation to attend on the same day

Despite not 100% fully recovered from the minor oral surgery I had on my right bottom wisdom tooth in January, di tambah pula dgn ulcer besau di pinggir bibir kiri, I had managed to finish eating all these (dgn kelajuan tahap makan kura-kura)! *pats on own back* Sedap tak terperi, ahkak makan sambil bergenang air mata ahkak menahan sakitnye ulcerku itu

2) The Akad Nikah of Shahruramadhan (a paternal relative) & Fairuz

05/03/2016

Shahruramadhan (a paternal relative) & Fairuz's akad nikah at Masjid Kg Tasek Berangan, Pasir Mas. After akad nikah ade jamuan makan-makan kat rumah pengantin perempuan. The lauk-lauk kampung they served were delicious that Abah tanpa was-was makan 2 pinggan nasi. Hehe!

3) The Wedding Reception of Farah & Azim

 06/02/2016

Farah ni staff kita kat office. We arrived a bit early & didn't get to meet the groom. The bride pun baru lepas habis mekap. Talk about semangatness. Hehe! Anyway, to Farah & Azim, congratulations on your marriage! Barakallah! All the best with the 2nd part of your LDR! It isn't going to be easy but at least, you get to travel & fefeeling tourist di Johor nanti!

4) The Wedding Reception of Hassyati & Idris

 06/02/2016

Hassyati was my primary schoolmate, jadi tetap curi masa nak attend her majlis. Rumah pun dekat je. Kalau tak attend tu, memang saje je la kan?

Sorry that we had to interrupt you & Cik Abam you bersantap Hassyati & snap gambar di celah-celah kerusi pengantin. Congratulations you two! Enjoy being a Mrs & may your marriage be a blessed beginning to many more happy days & years ahead! Aminnn!

5) The Wedding Reception of Mera & Faiz

 08/02/2016

Mera's house is nunnnn jauh di Gual Ipoh, Tanah Merah sana! Disebabkan beliau was my beloved junior & dormmate di Sains Pasir Puteh, despite musim cuti sekolah with jalan jam & all, tetap daku semangat attend her reception. (credits to A.H sebab beliau gigih drive menongkah arus jam)

We arrived a bit early, hence no photo of the Bridegroom, Faiz. Ni pun semangat tunggu pengantin habis mekap so that we could have some photos sebagai kenang-kenangan. To Mera & Faiz, congratulations on your marriage!  Marriage life might not be all about fairy tales, as there would be some hiccups, ups & downs in between. Maka jangelah berbaloh, kito settle dgn caro baik deh? (Ntah pape nasihat pungg)

6) The Wedding Reception of Dr Tina & Raffli

 08/02/2016

Dari Gual Ipoh, T.Merah, singgah sebentar di Bukit Tui, Machang, attending A.H's colleague's wedding reception, Dr Tina & Raffli.

Until to date I still felt pretty much awkward & malu everytime I met/bumped into Azzam's colleagues. Mungkin kerana I come from a different profession & we speak different languages, literally. Maka izinkan daku pura-pura busy makan nasi kenduri padahal nervous di hati tiada siapa yang tahu

P/s: Another school holiday is coming! Hadiah-hadiah kahwin tak ada lagi!

Wedding Galore

Assalamualaikum & hi!

Chinese New Year is coming. So does a long list of wedding invitations to attend! Hehe! In our case, my Husband & I have 3 wedding receptions on 06/02 & 4 wedding receptions on 08/02. Hallo nasik & lauk-pauk kenduri! I've been missing youuu!

One of the things I like about the festive season (other than the obvious holiday) is how people take the chance to go back to their hometowns. The road will be more congested, the malls and restaurants are more packed with people etc. Everything will move slower than normal days. Ada sedikit stress di situ but there are many positive sides to ponder on ayte?

1 more day to weekend. Sigh! Kenapakah minggu ini terasa begitu slow sekali?

To any future bride/groom who is reading this (whattt? You still have time to read blog(s)? Hehe!), I pray may everything go smooth for your wedding preparation, especially on your wedding day. Some things might not go well as planned, but just chill. Enjoy your day & smile for the camerasss!

Attending Our First Chinese Wedding

Assalamualaikum & hi!

My oh my! Where did I go for the past 8 days? Well, there's nothing new. Work at the office has been very crazy that there were times I felt like giving up. Lols!

Nonetheless, I just completed some important works last Tuesday, so I'm kinda giving myself some self reward by planning to do nothing today at the firm. Hehe! But behold, come next week & I'll be as kalut as lipas yang disembur Ridsect T_T

I've a lot to share but for now, this will do

A wedding invitation card came into our mail box on 06/09/2015 & it was from Dr. S.K who is A.H's old best friend when he went to one Chinese primary school in KL

Notice something not right about the address? Hehe! Nasib baik the Pos Malaysia guy got it delivered to our house despite the mistake

Both A.H & I; neither of us had the experience of attending any Chinese wedding before. I was quite clueless & the first thing that popped into my mind was "What should I/we wear?". I know Chineses love red & gold (thanks to some advertisements I saw on tv during Chinese New Year including that one where the guy brought his mat salleh girlfriend home for makan besar. Was it from KFC?) but I don't have many (and should I add, new?) red bajus that are glamorous enough for wedding

We were informed then that the wedding theme is red & white. Uh oh!

A.H then told me that I should get a pair of new bajus just to match the theme. So supportive & understanding la my husband. Hehe! But naah. I'll just wear my previous baju raya & as for A.H, I've packed the shirt that he wore during our Engagement which coincidentally suit the theme & my baju. Or at least, I think so :P

A self created dilemma solved. Baju kenduri check!

Since the Wedding will be held on Saturday night & Sunday is a working day here in Kelate, it means that we have to apply for a leave. I'm still considered as a newbie at the Firm & I'm not supposed to apply/have any leave yet but the Boss is kind enough to let me have a day off. Teehee!

Leave approved! Alhamdulillah

Now, let's hope that they will provide an extra set of fork & spoon for me at the Reception. Or else it will leave me with no choice but to ask A.H to suap me. Me & chopsticks, we're still new in our merely-existing relationship. If you know what I mean

Makey Gulai

Do you know that I've established a special affair with my friends' wedding receptions slash kenduri since everybody is getting busier getting married a few years ago? Especially when it involved people who have a special spot in my heart. Tumpang gembira tengok kawan-kawan tersenyum simpul keriangan di atas pelamin. Suka letteww!

I better get bathed & bersiap tapi the weather is so lovely that it's so rude to decline a nap. Mihmih!

Mieja & Wan, mung tunggu weolss datang!

Of #JANNAHMAD, Upah Chocolates & Bihun Cambo

Went to #JANNAHMAD's wedding reception in Pasir Pekan on last Sunday

It was one of the beautiful & meriah wedding receptions I had ever attended. I heard that there were about 2000 guests came on that day & mind you, ini majlis bertandang di rumah pengantin lelaki ye? They surely had a long tiring day entertaining the guests. Hehe! Met a lot of fellow lawyers there; juniors & seniors. So, it was kind of a mini gathering plus free yummy kenduri food. Too bad my stomach was still full from bihon cambo that I had earlier

Btw, their pelamin vendor was Nurza Wedding House (the same vendor that we chose for our wedding in February. InsyaAllah) & the theme was rustic. It was definitely different from most pelamins that I had seen before

Our friend, Izzat J was there too. He came all the way from KL, singgah KT for his friend's wedding then datang sini for Ahmad's. Gigih nau pakcik sorang tu. Since he was alone & gigih nak pergi kenduri naik taxi -.-', I invited him to carpool sambil bawak jalan-jalan Pengkalan Kubur since he never had a chance to jalan-jalan di Kelate melainkan to attend court matters semata-mata. Lawatan sambil belajar sambil habiskan pitih kekdahnya

Of course I ajak-ed along my friend, Diha to accompany us too. Bertiga lebih baik. What, you think my fiance won't be jealous? We went to Pengkalan Kubur earlier & I bought him some chocolates & Nutella as upah sebab baik hati bagi permission. I love you, A.H. Hihi!

Pengkalan Kubor is a duty free zone situated on Malaysia-Thailand border, about 45 minutes from K.Bharu. So yes, harga chocolates adalah lebih murah di sini compared to other places, at the airports especially. Lols!

And oh, if datang sini jangan lupa try mee/bihun/megi/kuew tiau cambo Kedai Makan Kak Za situated right before gate keluar yang depan Bangunan Kastam tu. Untuk rasa lebih umph, sila tambah extra cili. Kebabommm! Terus senyap semua orang sebab tahan pedas. Dah la kedai Kak Za kita itu mengamalkan konsep mesra alam i.e no air conditioner. Ini baru tahap cry-me-a-river pedasnyaaaaaaa! Nasib baik after that tak sakit perut

Makan 3 orang plus air 3 gelas = RM19+. Ok la kan?

Bak kata orang Kelate, "Spoon licking good" or "Sedap sengoti tobak ehhhh!"

Kenduri-kendara Here & There

Assalamualaikum & hallo! Happy Monday blues!

Musim kenduri-kendara just passed & I've been flooded my hp memory with a lot of wedding pictures! Time to clear some space, hence this wedding entry with a lot of wedding pictures. I just love going to wedding. Might as well apply kerja kat butik pengantin as my part time job :P

Anyway, to the beautiful brides & handsome bridegrooms; barakallah & congratulations! I pray may Allah grant you the utmost happiness in your marriage, be blessed with a lot of barakah, dimurahkan rezeki & dapat banyak kids! Amin...

1. The Wedding of Dr. Khuzaimah Radzi, 31.05.2014 at Pengkalan Chepa
Khuza was my dormmate for 3 years back then in Sains Pasir Puteh

She's been known as the toughest & most discipline one among us. Unlike some of us who were so crazy about some jambu boybands *coughs* such as Westlife *coughs* & NSync, Khuza probably had none (so nerd this friend of mine. No wonder she's a dentist :P) but her love story is so interesting. Long story cut short, it all started when she treated her own husband in her clinic at HUSM last year. Couldn't recall the month & whatnot but still let's go 'Auwww!' everybody!

Tersampai awai di rumah pengantin. Pengantin pun belum siap mekap & melaram, so gambar pelamin je la yang mampu

2. Shafiqah Hisyam, 31.05.2014 at Lundang, Kota Bharu
Fiqah was my classmate during LL.B (Hons), so her wedding was like a mini reunion for us, the classmates + Intan from kelas sebelah. We just wished that many of us could come on that day though but what to do, berapa kerat je yang stay & kerja di Kelate, except Nobby who came all the way from Putrajaya

Teringat zaman lara masa LL.B where us the single ladies would share our keluh kesah why we hadn't met our Mr Right yet. Look what a hefty workload of LL.B had done to our weary brain :P

3. Dr Marini Dr Yadie, 01.06.2014 at Nilam Puri, Kota Bharu
Marini was my tuition class buddy wayyyyy back when we were 12 (I think I'm pretty good in keeping in touch with old friends *pats own back*). Post UPSR, Marini went to MRSM while I went to SBP but we still kept in touch through out all these years until now

So, when I knew through her Instagram that she was engaged to her sweetheart who is also a doctor & they met while working in the same ward, Wad Bahagia HRPZ (tqvm DJ majlis for the info) I was really looking forward to attending her wedding. Sanggup amik cuti half day y'all!

4. Naimah Hafizi, 05.06.2014 at Pantai Pulau Kundur, Kota Bharu
Both Naimah & Piji were my batchmates during Pre Degree Law (before Naiman left to pursue her dream to be a teacher). So, walaupun their majlis was on hari bekerja, mek sanggup amik half day & drove alone to Naimah's house at Pantai Pulau Kundur (I just wished I knew where the pantai is tapi lepas tu gigih pulak mek pergi PCB & spent about 5 minutes there. Obses dengan pantai betui -.-') & met my other friend there, Cik Nor

It feels so good to witness how their love story eventually ended with a beautiful reunion as the husband & wife. Alhamdulillah

5. Wan Hasnur Fishaira Wan Kay, 08.06.2014 at Seribong, Kota Bharu
My second time attending my primary school friends' wedding but too bad I didn't meet or bump into any of our friend there. Went there alone & was too malu to eat alone, hence went back with empty stomach but with some doorgifts & pictures. Hehe!

Pandai kawan mek ni cari cik abe. Wan vs Wan

And I was amazed looking at their hantarans! Took me some times to digest (or more like hafal :P) the gifts they put on the trays

6. Muiz Aainaa, 14.06.2014 at Kubang Kerian, Kota Bharu
Another love started at UiTM Law School & ended with a beautiful marriage! Alhamdulillah

Muiz & Aainaa both were my juniors & we used to work together for Sekretariat Mahasiswa Fakulti (SMF) a few years ago. This couple is very cute with Muiz has always been the pak lawak one, meanhwile Aainaa is being pretty as always. Didn't get to attend Aainaa's wedding reception at Dewan Seri Budiman, UiTM S.Alam, so qadha dengan majlis bertandang at Muiz's place at Kubang Kerian. Since A.H was here, he had no choice but to tag along. Hehe!

Electric blue cantik jugak kan? Love their wedding attires

7. Sazwani Mustaqim, 20.06.2014 at Kg Kemumin, Kota Bharu
Another junior's wedding!

Wani's wedding reception was a simple yet meriah one but I truly love her wedding dress & also the doorgift cookies! Wani pun cantik sangat as always! Couldn't help but to ask her where she had her wedding dress done & I'm seriously considering to copycat some of her ideas for my future majlis nanti :P
