A Visit To Dentist (Finally!)

Assalamualaikum & hi!

After 7 years bearing the pain (can't believe that I'm that penyabar. Tsk!), I finally decided to see the dentist regarding my wisdom teeth on 23/11/2015

What had led to my decision?

Well, I decided that this toothache crap will bring me nowhere. I mean, until when will I suffer this kind of torture? For now, I suffer the pain like once in a month. Yes, the pain came & went whenever it pleased but I really don't like the type of party it forced me to have inside my mouth. It was annoyingly painful & I'm sure people who had experienced know how it feels/felt

So, I texted my friend/former schoolmate/former dormmate, Dr Khuza who is the Dental Officer at HUSM the day before my visit to HUSM Dental Clinic. I was explained about the procedure etc & was told by her that she's working the day after & I could just register my name to be her patient. Kurang sikit malu & nervous kite jumpa dentist. Hehe!

I went to HUSM straight after I attended the court that morning & surprisingly, walaupun musim cuti sekolah, I didn't need to wait long. After waiting like 10 minutes after the registration at the front counter, it was my turn. For a few minutes, I forgot that I was in the dental clinic sebab borak-borak duluhhh seround. Dr Khuza then did some check-ups on my swollen gums + big & deep ulcers & explained to me what is really happening to my wisdom teeth

I was then had to go to another building for X-Ray. Definitely my first experience there! I had to remove anything on & around my head, including the headscarf, jewelries etc. Malu please

When I walked back to the main Dental Clinic, my X-Ray image was already shown on the desktop & Dr Khuza explained to me what's really happening in my mouth. A moment of jakun there plus I didn't expect that it's that bad! Selama ni tengok gambar kat Google je pasal wisdom teeth ni, but now tadaaaaaa! Lookie lookie worlddd! I also have one impacted wisdom tooth!

Can you see my right below impacted wisdom tooth? Baring konar siakkk bak kata Kelantanese people, the answer for all my toothaches all these years. Oh you! Naughty naughty you!

I was given 2 options; whether to keep it or to remove it which I opted for the latter. Plus, wisdom teeth ni tak ada function pun. Dr Khuza then referred my case to her colleague, Dr F which later explained to me that my upper right wisdom tooth might be removed too as it may later cause pain to the below gum once gigi bawah tu dicabut. Alang-alang sakit, biarlah sakit secara berjemaah sekaligus kekdahnya so I agreed to his plan. Huhu!

So, my next appointment for the minor surgery to remove my 2 wisdom teeth will be on 05/01/2016. InsyaAllah. Semoga selamat sahaja hendaknya. Rajin pulok mek gi Google gambar wisdom teeth removal surgery sakni. Haih!

Oh about the payment. As A.H is a government servant, I have the privilege of receiving free treatment at government hospitals, including dental service. Is this a sign or another reason to visit dental clinics in the future?

Oh, makcik Nurse pesan kat kita before datang on 05/01/2016, makan kenyang-kenyang & have someone to accompany me in case tak boleh drive alone balik rumah later on. So, I'm going to remind A.H again & again to take leave on that day & nak makan banyak-banyak & kenyang-kenyang starting from today because removing wisdom tooth/teeth is a serious business you know?

Maryam Nur Safiyyah Binti Muhamad Anuar
Born on 09/11/2015 at 12.04 a.m at HUSM, Kubang Kerian
 Weigh 2.75 kg, Length 50 cm

The photo above is our first wefie together ♥  taken at 10.48 a.m in Wad Eksekutif HUSM on the day Maryam was born. As you can see, she's pretty much uterus-lagged, so please forgive her for not being (or at least appearing to be) as excited as her Mama Sue ;)

According to my Sister, it was a short yet very painful labour (So, I kinda refuse to know the details of her birth story. Lols!) I remember that on 08/11/2015, I just arrived home from visiting my Sister at HUSM with my Father at 9.45 p.m, received a phone call from my BIL at 10.07 p.m informing me that my Sister is already in the labour room & later received the news on the arrival of my Baby Niece via Whatssap msg from him at 12.08 a.m on 09/11/2015 

Sorry, I just need to put as many details as possible since my Sister no longer keeps her blog updated & my blog is her reference. Kalau boleh nak record/write every single thing. Lols!

Anyway, Maryam had to be warded for her jaundice from 14 to 16/11 recently at HUSM. She's recovering now, Alhamdulillah. My Sister is currently berpantang at our house (or my Parents' to be specific), so I get to see her everyday, beside her Brother, Umar. Hehe!

Had hold Maryam once so far. Tunggu besar sikit then baru berani nak dukung lagi. Now, she's so haluih!

To Maryam, grow up well Little Lady! ♥ We are going to have a lot of fun together in the future, InsyaAllah which includes a countless series of wefies. Weeeee! Oh, next time I shall blog about the day you met Umar & your so-called Majlis Bercukur (believe me that there's a reason why I put 'so-called' there. Hehe!). Can't wait for you to besar sikit so that I can agah-agah you & include Umar too! It must be so fun!

My apology that after 16 days, baru sempat nak blog about your arrival. I blame Umar for invading my laptop like 24/7 now with his Upin Ipin, Elmo's World, Didi & Friends etc that I hardly have time to blog. Pheww! Au Revoir Octobre 2015

October is coming to its end & what a busy month it has been! (should really blame my new work place though. I hardly have rest!) Come November, then we'll be just a month away to 2016

1) Celebrated the birthdays of 2 October babies in our Family; my nephew, Umar's 2nd birthday on 01/10 & my Mother's 61st birthday on 15/10

2) Lepak-lepak session (should think of a better name though as 'lepak-lepak' makes us sound like rempitzzz. Lols!) with my friend, Madiha

Although me & my close friends live like 5 to 20 minute drive from each other, our work schedules don't have a mutual understanding seemingly. So, as much as I want to make it a monthly thing with my friends, we know it's almost impossible. Who said being adult is fun? We hardly have time for our friends no matter how much we yearn for that T_T
.
But whenever we have the chance, we'll definitely go for it! Even A.H always encourages me to have some girly time with my friends. Such an understanding husband I have :P

3) 03/10/2015, Thai Festival at Stadium Sultan Muhammad IV, Kota Bharu

Thai Festival has been taken place since a few years ago here & it's like 2, 3 timer per year. Or probably more. But still, oh my God! I love going there! Love somtam the most! Usually sebab selalu sangat rambang mata, ended up beli somtam je. Lols!

 A.H's second time at Thai Festival, after going to the first one in February 2014 when he came here to K.Bahru for the first time to meet my Parents. Hehe!

4) 03/10/2015. We're no longer wifi-less. Hallo Yes 4G!

5) Celebrated the Boss' 30th Birthday at the office (yes, our Boss is very young)

6) 15/10/2015. My first visit to Klinik 1Malaysia

Had been suffering from flu fever for more than week & it was the worst on that day that I felt like my eyes are going off from their sockets T_T So, I decided to go to the nearest K1M near my office during the lunch break

I didn't receive any MC though (as it's only by doctor's authorization. Since I came during lunch hour, I only got to see the Medical Assistant (MA), just an attending slip but the meds that I received cured the headache almost instantly! Alhamdulillah!



7) 19/10/2015. A work trip to Pasir Puteh Magistrate Court

Working at the new firm has required me to travel a lot to the district Magistrate Court, something which I actually enjoy (most of the times). I was at Pasir Puteh Magistrate Court on 19/10 & took the chance to go the Pasir Puteh market nearby later on

It's one of the must do things whenever I'm at the district as I get to know the local people (albeit superficial but having a small talk with pakcik/makcik penjual won't cost you any penny ayte?), buy local products at much much cheaper pric& feel the atmosphere there

Seeing old pakciks/makciks still doing business even at such age(s) always saddens me. Some might be doing it because that's their sole source of income, whilst others might be doing it because of minat & passion. As for me, for some reasons (other than one stated above) I always preferred to buy things/goods from them, the old darling pakciks/makciks (although who knows that they actually secretly earn more than me)

As I was driving passing by a few kedais in the town, I can't help to feel very nostalgic. I spent 5 years in Pasir Puteh, attending an all girls' boarding school there & although it's been 11 years since I left the school, some things remain the same & honestly, I prefer them that way

Apalah ertinya berkunjung ke Pasir Puteh tanpa singgah sebentar di alma mater? Tu pun if you could consider stopping my car in front of the school gate & took only one shot of it all within less than one minute as a 'berkunjung' lah. Hehe!

8) 20/10/2015. Celebrated our Legal Assistant, Iqah's 26th Birthday ♥

Because work all day spells no fun, so marilah berhoreyyy! And yes, those rambu-rambu hats have become our official birthday hats. So glad I bought them. Lols!

Oh btw, Iqah just delivered a baby girl on 30/10, about 3 weeks earlier from her EDD. I was & am still nervous every time I think about this as it means all her workload is now shifted to meeeeee! T_T

9) 21/10/2015. A.H & I celebrated our 8th month of Marriage. Alhamdulillah ♥

10) 29/10/201. A work trip to Machang Magistrate Court

I had a pretty nervous night as I was preparing for the Trial/Hearing which was fixed on the next day.  It was an accident claim (bodily injury) Hearing, an area of practice which is quite new for me. Huhu! 

But you simply can't say 'No' when your boss asked you to be in charge kan, although when you just received the file the day before the Hearing

A.H looking at the medical report prepared by the doctor who treated the client; trying to be helpful & calming me down. All that medical terms sound alien to me. Patah tulang gagah?

But it turned out ok. We didn't need to for for Hearing sebab insurance company bagi offer as per requested by the client. Lols! If only general litigation is also that simple!

Maka berbaloi lah daku tidak mengelabah sangat pada malam tersebut. And the feeling was even more awesome as I met my 2 UiTM juniors there, NikNa & Ira. Had lunch with them before we left pulang ke pangkal jalan

On my way back, singgah sebentar di rumah Pak Ngah & Mak Ngah (my Mother's eldest Sister) in Labok, Machang. So happy to see them & Alhamdulillah, Pak Ngah pun nampak sihat than usual :')

 "Hendak (hendap) gapo tu?" asked my 80+/90+ years old Pak Ngah when he saw me holding my phone for wefie

Wish that I could stay longer but what to do, I still need to go back to the office :'( I love both of them so much that I cried whilst driving from their house #hatitisu May Allah swt grant them the best state of health & panjang umur, so that I would have more times to be spent with them, visit them & make them (especially my Mak Ngah) happy! Amin!

11)  30/10/2015. Preparing for the arrival of my Baby Niece ♥

My Sister is expected to deliver her second child on 24/11 & insyaAllah, it's going to be a baby girl! Alhamdulillah & woohOo!

I think I'm going to call her 'Adik Baby' regardless her name

Although I always love baby boys for some reasons, having a baby girl in the family isn't bad ayte? I can tell that my Mother's the most excited person in the Family (beside the Sister herself). She & my Father have been preparing the confinement room for my Sister since 2 weeks ago & the efforts that they have been putting themselves into are so lovely

Bak kata the Mother, "Macam Ma pulak yang nak berpantang". Lols!

12) 30/10/2015. A sushi date with A.H ♥

I'm not really into sushi but once in awhile, I've this demanding craving that nothing it can tolerate :P

Tapi as usual, A.H would eat more than me. Whilst I was still waiting for my fork & spoon (still haven't mustered the skill of using the chopsticks. I'm not even trying. Lols!), A.H had already had a few sushi down in his tummy

I wish I have more date like this, albeit short. Apakan daya, A.H's working hours are between 2 p.m to 10 p.m during weekdays. My time with him is numbered (by hours) :(

Not sure whether I got the flu bugs from my nephew, Abam Umar (who just celebrated his 2nd birthday on 01/10/2015. Alhamdulillah! ♥ Will definitely blog about this soon. InsyaAllah!) or because of the bad haze or kafarah dosa. Huhu! It's combination of runny nose, headache, cough, sneeze, tonsil yg membengkak etc. 

Nonetheless, I can't afford to take an mc now as I need to finish doing one important submission before this rabu. Ohhhh, this is when hashtag dilema seorang lawyer is really applicable T_T

For now, kita bertahan dengan meds jah which A.H took them for free from the Klinik Kesihatan (KK) he's working at

From D To Y

Assalamualaikum & hi!

After terminating Streamyx at home (sebab pencuri-pencuri kabel area rumah ni tak makan saman punya makhluk. Pardon my words) & relying on our humble 8gb Digi MobiFi for almost a year, we finally have a proper home wifi! Alhamdulillah & wohoO!

Did some research (A.H did most of them while your truly did 50% of the final say. Lols!) before we decided to opt for Yes Zoom 4G. I was actually hoping for Unifi tapi kat Kota Bharu ni Unifi is still pretty much new & tak banyak lagi area Unifi cover

And I can foresee that this blog will be updated more regularly after this. InsyaAllah. Hehe! And yes, more watching Upin & Ipin videos online & Robocar Poli for my nephew, Umar

And A.H is the happiest person now I think as he can watch Rugby World Cup online..... Actually that's the main reason why he was so semangat surveying the best wifi -.-'

The Workspace At Home, 31/08/2015

Assalamualaikum & hallo! Ada lagi tak anyone baca this suam-suam kuku blog?

Today marks my second week of working at the new firm. Alhamdulillah. Seminggu yang lepas adalah sungguh mendebarkan & mencemaskan (serta menakutkan I may add) but I survived. Maka, dengan itu saya mengambil keputusan untuk stay up 

Yeah right! Padahal terpaksa stay up nak siapkan reseach Boss nak tengok esok T_T

My apology for neglecting this blog for 2 weeks, I've been very busy with a lot of things in hands that updating this blog is no longer my priority as it had used to be. Rindu la nak update (almost) everything here. Nak update pasal Raya last July pun tak sempat kottt? Apakan daya, masa sungguh mencemburui. Plus, my desktop pc at the firm isn't connected to wifi/internet yet, hence there's no such thing as mengular di alam siber during office hours. Sigh!

It's almost 1 a.m, I really need to go to bed. Kalau tak esok liat la nak bangun awal prepare bekal breakfast untuk A.H. Kesian A.H, dah la tak suka keluar lunch. Mengharapkan bekal (yang tak seberapa) yang kita buat je lah. Sobs!

Selamat Hari Merdeka yang ke-58, anyway! Semoga Malaysia tercinta bertambah awesome in the future & bebas dari pengkhianat rakyat (eh!), aminnn!

Of Getting The New Job

Assalamualaikum & hi!

I went for an interview yesterday morning at a legal firm which is about 5+ minute drive from home & Alhamdulillah, after about a month of being unemployed, I'm now back to the black & white profession

As much as I hate interview(s), I definitely can't avoid it. Masih terasa debaran masa attend interview PTD last year which I didn't do well obviously. Lols!

I e-mailed the Firm on Thursday, submitted my resume online & received the phone call from the Boss himself on Monday morning to set the date & time for the interview. Since I'm car-less now as A.H drives mine to work this week, had to ask for my Father's help to drive me there (and the Parents were so kind to wait for me downstairs walhal kita dah cakap pergi la breakfast dulu. Huhu! Teringat pulak zaman attending interview mase nak start pupilage dulu. And I think, their duaa were the main reason why I got the job. Alhamdulillah)

The interview took me more than an hour & I was tested on the basic knowledge on insurance claim cases, which I have to admit that I had only handled 3 files at the previous firm. I was/am a civil litigator so, there are many medical terms that I'm not familiar with but I got to answer 90% correct I think? The rest was more on my experience & borak la sikit-sikit. Totally different from attending job interviews with yang gomen punya, seperti yang dinyatakan di atas itteww

The firm is bigger than the previous firm I worked at with more supporting stuff & lawyers. One of the staff is my Sains Pasir Puteh junior who works there sementara nak kahwin katanya. Lols! The girl has just finished her Master's Degree from UKM. Don't play-play. Another lawyer is my UiTM junior, E. So, I already have 2 friends there :)

So, my days as penganggur are numbered now. Although I enjoy being a (temporary) housewife (I even think that using the washing machine & see the clean & wangi laundry as therapeutic), I definitely can't goyang kaki forever. What's more in today's unstable economy & cerita tak best situ sini. I think I've had enough of days off at home. Plus, I've bills to pay & the Mother's health condition isn't that good lately. Can't forever rely on the Husband alone ayte? 

Quite nervous to begin my first day at the new Firm this Sunday. Probably because I was so used to my previous Firm which I had worked for 3 previous years. Oh, the Boss is a Mr btw, unlike my previous one. So, I don't know how working with a male boss would be like. Hopefully, everything will go well & I won't quit halfway. InsyaAllah

• 30/05/2015 - Went to My LL.B classmate, Aleeya's wedding in Ketereh with another friend of mine, Intan. The theme was Arabian, hence the bright colours of the dress/suit of the Bride & Groom & also the dais. So beautifully bright! Anyway, congratulations, Aleeya & spouse! ♥ I was so happy to see another close friend of mine has become somebody's Mrs now, Alhamdulillah. I pray may her halal reunion of love is nothing short of happiness, everlasting barakah & rizq! InsyaAllah

• 30/05/2015 - Meet our 2 new adopted kittens which have been with us for about 2 months & a half. Ke 3 months dah? Surprisingly, these 2 still don't have any official name yet. Lols! My 20 month-old nephew, Umar loves them so much that he literally squeezes, hugs & kisses them! Ohoi, redha je la kucin-kucin itu diperlakukan sedemikan rupa. Sayang betul dia

• 07/06/2015 - Saw these cute house at the neighbouring kampung. Love the pink colour, reminds me so much to air bandung. If I'm not mistaken, the old lady who lives in the house teaches kids Al-Quran

• 07/06/2015 - I received this huge glass bowl as one of my wedding presents from Ms/Mrs/Mr Unknown (thank you very much! I love it!) & decided to put my humble collection of perfumes, body mist & lotion on it. I might be biased but I think my vanity looks nicer & more organize now. Hehe!

We're on the first page of June, the 6th chapter of 2015, Alhamdulillah. 2015 so far has been good, with some sad stories in between including the demise of my cousin, arwah Afif on 24/05/2015

Nonetheless, life must go on. And hopefully, kita yang masih sihat & diberi nikmat masa & usia ini akan bertambah iman & ibadah. Amin

I'm currently being invaded by the flu bugs; cough & dizziness. Wish that I'm now on my bed at home instead of being in the office. Got these from A.H who was here from 21/05 until 24/05. Bagus betul kan Husband kita. Selain buah tangan lain, beliau juga membawa pulang virus ini untuk dipass down kepada saya. Saya juga telah berjaya menpass downnya kepada anak saudara saya, Umar

Speaking of which, we're also just a few days away from Ramadhan. InsyaAllah. Dah habis qadha puasa ke semua? *coughs* I love Ramadhan as I always see it as a month of togetherness & calmness. People will do as much as good deeds as possible especially in charity. Seronok jumpa orang-orang kampung kat masjid masa terawikh especially the makciks & pakciks that I haven't met for some times

But this coming Ramadhan won't be the same anymore, I guess. Biasa arwah Afif yang jadi Imam terawikh kat masjid. We surely miss the calmness in his voice, sedap suara Arwah. It's been day 9. Al-fatihah

Keeping a planner!

Sebagai peminat tegar mengemaskini data hidup peribadi (di blog & Instagram) & used to keep diaries, having a neat & pretty planner is like a must. Have been trying to make it as a hobby but masa sangat mencemburui hidupku. Nonetheless, I've started buying some of the things that I need (and probably, I might need) last week yet I haven't really officially started the project. We have limited cute & awesome supplies of stationeries here in Kota Bharu, so finding the things above was quite a trick. Ye la, dah almost April baru nak cari 2015 planner. Motif? T_T

Assalamualaikum & hi! It's been a long time since I went random. So, let's go random;

• 15 days left before the Wedding & I haven't decided on the days of leave that I'm going to take for my wedding; whether 7 or 8 or 9 working days
• Dah imagine penat nak kemas before & after the kenduri
• Went to the Court this morning & a kind kakak lawyer commented on how thin & tired I look now. Mek dah la berjiwa tisu lately, maka what a 'Kak F jemput la datang majlis saya! Hihi!' turned to a heart-to-heart talk with her. I seriously need some of those intimate talks lately, especially with people who understand the ground I'm standing now; rough
• Been trying to convince anyone that I'm not on a before-kahwin diet, it's just that I'm always not in the mood to eat. Boleh? Lols!
• Dah lama tak ada peaceful weekends where I can golek-golek until afternoon
• Rasa macam nak pergi holiday. Alone
• Rasa macam nak makan kat Seoul Garden. Senang cite, lately I tend to spend lavishly on food. Baru 2 days ago I had sotong celup tepung, now rasa nak lagi. 2 weeks before that pun dah makan kot? This is the inner stressful self speaking, I believe
• I realize that I've a lower tolerance with rude people. I just can't
• I don't live to impress people

Turning A Year Older

Received a surprise bouquet of 20 bars of chocolates from A.H, delivered to my office this morning :)

I officially turned a year older last Friday, 23/01 at 6.45 a.m to be specific. Alhamdulillah

All praises to Allah for this countless of blessings in terms of nikmat umur, health, family & other rizq. My life may not perfect but I'm very grateful for every single thing I have now

This is my last birthday as a single woman & I have a pretty mixed feeling about this. Cried a bucket on my birthday night thinking that I will no longer be my Parents' responsibility after the akad. Can I just freeze time & be their little girl forever? Ya Allah, grant them Your jannah for all the sacrifices they've made in raising me & my siblings up, help & ease my affairs to make them happy & give them the best state of health. Amin ya rabbal alamin

I'm not big fan of birthday as it had always reminded how I've aged over these years *in denial* but I don't mind receiving surprise & presents on my birthday though. Asked A.H why he gave me a bouquet of chocolates & not traditional flowers, his answer was "Sebab bunga akan layu. Baik chocolates. Kenyang". So clever my Fiance, dah tau salah satu kegemaran mek ialah makan chocolate, bukan makan bunga :P Nonethelss thanks a lot A.H for his effort in making this bridezilla happy ♥ 

Anyway, I still haven't had the chance to reply to each birthday wishes/duas that I received but InsyaAllah will do so soon. And for everyone who is reading this, ampun maaf for all my mistake. It's been a busy week. Wish I could have some extra time & also some extra energy to keep myself awake & fit. With the current unpredictable weather, the bed looks very inviting all the time

But I'm not complaining though. May Allah ease my affairs :)

Hello 2015

In The Name of Allah, The Most Beneficent, The Most Merciful

Assalamualaikum & hi! Today is the first day in the office in 2015 after 11 days of long emergency holidays. Calendar pun still yang 2014 punya. Truth be told, I didn't miss the office at all. Hehe!

I have so many things/stories to share i.e the recent flood that hit the East Cost, being the flood evacuee, how our house was 75% affected etc but they need some separate posts on their own. InsyaAllah! Ni penat cuci & kemas rumah tak habis lagi ni. I've this accumulated fatigue running I think. The Parents lagi la :(

Anyway, may this year bring more good things to everyone! Amin!
