Sejak habis qadha puasa 3 weeks ago, I have been in food hunting mood like there's no tomorrow. Perangai orang dewasa yang suka makan sangat kan? But there are lot of yummy food in our radar, rasa macam nak menangis kalau lunch hour terbuang begitu sahaja tanpa dipenuhi dengan aktivit jalan-jalan cari makan

It had been a sad & difficult weekend for us with the loss of my beloved cousin, Afif Asyraf Yahya, 28 who was involved in a fatal car crash at Kuala Krai on 24/05/2015

Arwah, an ustaz at Tahfiz school wasn't really a football fan but it was fated by Allah swt that his ajal was that way. Arwah & my another cousin, Amiruddin Nawi, 29 were on their way home to K.Bharu after watching FA Cup Final at Bukit Jalil the night before. We were also told that arwah had declined our cousins' offer to stay at their home in Seri Kembangan & insisted to drive home straight away after the match after receiving call/whatssap msg from his wife who had false contraction earlier

What saddens us most is to see his wife's condition who is now expecting their first baby & is due in 3 weeks time. Can't imagine if I were in her shoes. Allahurabbi. Sedihnyaaa :'(

I still can't fathom this. Growing up together, he was more than a cousin to me. From going to the Taski together, playing all sorts of games after school, playing badminton, going to kelas mengaji & tuition classes etc; how could I easily erase all that memories when we shared our childhood together?

May Allah swt grant him jannah, his wife abundance of patience & may their unborn child grow up well & be as soleh as his arwah father. Amin ya rabbal alamin 

5 days have passed & we still can't stop thinking about him. Betul lah orang cakap kan? Orang baik, ramai yang sedih bila dah tak ada. Rest well dear cousin. You're missed by everyone. Al-fatihah

May has been a busy month! Pheww! It felt so nice that me & the pupil, Mizah actually had time to go to Pantai Irama on our way back from Bachok Land Office this morning despite having some urgent work to do back in the office. I took a lot of selfish selfies & sent them to A.H via Whatssap although I knew he was busy in the OT

Ya ya, a very thoughtful wife I am :P

I love beaches. I mean, who doesn't? This is one of the perks of living in Pantai Timur, the beaches are nice & beautiful! And I'm so glad that there's KFC just in front of the beach. Nampak sangat dah lama tak datang Pantai Irama. Gile hipster orang Bachok sekarang, mannn!

The weather has been very hot lately. MasyaAllah. And being a pluviophile I am, of course I miss having rainy days around. Can't remember the last time I went to bed accompanied with the sound of rain. Dah lama tak hujan. I miss it :(

Speaking of which, I realize that I haven't updated this space with my flood story. My very own version of it, experienced first hand lagi. There are still some marks left around the house which always reminds us how bad it was. Can't believe it happened almost 4 months ago. Still remember how it felt seeing everything covered with flood around the neighbourhood

I shall keep the details about it in a special post soon. Soon tu bila ntah. Hehe!

Oh anyway berbalik kepada cerita hot weather sekarang, it's has eventually given an effect on my skin; mengelupas & it looks so unhealthy. Terus merudum rasa keyakinan diri, nak bagi gambar daily selfie to A.H pun malas. Luls! But yes, people. Please keep yourself hydrated alright? Drink a lot of water & stay indoor if possible. And don't forget your sunnies if you're outdoor to protect your eyes from panas cheng-cheng. Just like these 2 mokciks

Semasa menerima perkhabaran berita tentang pemergian Almarhum melalui whatssap dari seorang rakan, terasa seperti mimpi. Malah sehingga ke saat ini, masih tidak terkejut dengan pemergian Almarhum. Terasa besarnya kehilangan ini, di saat kami masih memerlukan seorang ulamak & pemimpin seperti Almarhum. Ramai orang yang tidak pernah berjumpa dengan Almarhum turut berasa kehilangan & berasa sangat sedih, apatah lagi kami rakyat Kelantan yang pernah di bawah pimpinan Almarhum, yang selalu mengikuti perkembangan Almarhum selama Almarhum memerintah Kelantan selama 23 tahun, yang selalu menghadiri kuliyyah Jumaat Perdananya pada setiap hari Jumaat di Medan Ilmu, Kota Bharu atau yang pernah menghadiri majlis-majlis rasmi yang turut dihadiri oleh Almarhum di mana-mana sahaja di sekitar Kota Bharu

He had his own aura. Something that could made you stop & look at him in admiration. He was so humble, so fatherly, so kind that he was loved & respected not only but Muslims but also non-Muslims

Rindu. Masih rindu. Teramat rindu. Hingga sekarang mata masih sangat mudah untuk mengalirkan air mata apabila menonton video atau gambar-gambar Almarhum

Of Rain & Flood

Assalamualaikum & hi!

Flood in Kelantan has eased in several places but not in Pasir Mas & Tumpat as the number of flood evacuees continues to rise in those 2 districts. Read more here

My place? Well, there were some places in Kota Bharu that had been badly affected, including our neighbours. Dorang tak perasan air naik cepat sangat awal pagi, tak sempat alihkan kereta (Refer picture no. 1 above) but Alhamdulillah, rumah kami selamat. Air banjir ada tapi tak de la masuk rumah. Tergugat iman Kak Sue melihat air banjir yang jernih itteww! Refer picture no. 2

I was on leave on Thursday, 18/12/2014. So, I got to take care of my nephew, Umar. Abah was busy visiting the neighbours (The man with the umbrella in picture no. 1 was him. Hehe!) ala YB. Ma pulak, I can't remember what kept her busy tapi busy la

Umar pulak busy mengamuk nak ikut Tok Ma. That little boss pantang dengar hujan, mesti gelisah. A pluviophile just like his Mama Sue? Kesian tengok dia menangis sayu di tepi dapur, we finally gave up & gave him his first experience main air banjir. He liked it very much, obviously. Dari berbaju lengkap dengan diaper sampailah telanjang bongey cekci auw auwww! (Refer picture no. 3), it was funny watching him got all hyped & excited

As predicted, Mama Sue menghadapi kesukaran untuk menangkap & mendukung anak itik jelmaan itu naik ke rumah. Menangis tak nak naik -.-' Umar took a longer nap later with 2 bottles of warm milk as complimentary drinks. (Refer picture no. 4) Lols! 

The weather is still unpredictable. As much as I love this monsoon season & the calm feeling it gives me, Kak Sue berharap mangsa-mangsa banjir baik-baik sahaja. Allah tidak akan uji kita dengan sesuatu yg kita tak mampu kan? Take care everyone!

Arnold Cycling Cafe At KB Mall

Went to Arnold Cycling Cafe (ACC), a new cafe at KB Mall 2rd floor with the new pupil in the office, Mizah on last Monday. It was our first time there obviously & we were quite jakun. Jakun di sini merujuk kepada masuk, duduk, tunggu waiter datang only to be told later that we need to make our order at the counter. Maafin

ACC was originated from Penang & ACC in KB Mall is its first branch. It serves a variety of beverages (I read that its specialty is fresh brew Italian coffee), cakes, bread & sandwiches but oleh sebab jakun-ness tak habis lagi, we only had cold macadamia milk & cold chocolate drink. Would probably tried its yummy-looking cakes if not because of the price per slice. Hehe! Tak pe, next time maybe?

Had lunch (if you consider pancakes + chocolate smoothie as lunch. Lols!) at Lugano Coffee House, a newly renovated cafe behind my office yesterday with the boss & staff

It serves western food with an exception to a few types of nasi goreng sebab we Malay love nasi so much. There are also cakes, macaroons, sandwiches & a variety of beverages

I had underestimated this cafe before, thinking that it was just a slightly-better-but-has-been air-conditioned cafe from its original Hayaki Kopitiam. But the food is surprisingly good & its interior is nice. Some people may think the food is slightly overpriced but I think it's worth it

All in all, it's definitely another hang out spot for K.Bharu people, the youngsters especially

Went to #JANNAHMAD's wedding reception in Pasir Pekan on last Sunday

It was one of the beautiful & meriah wedding receptions I had ever attended. I heard that there were about 2000 guests came on that day & mind you, ini majlis bertandang di rumah pengantin lelaki ye? They surely had a long tiring day entertaining the guests. Hehe! Met a lot of fellow lawyers there; juniors & seniors. So, it was kind of a mini gathering plus free yummy kenduri food. Too bad my stomach was still full from bihon cambo that I had earlier

Btw, their pelamin vendor was Nurza Wedding House (the same vendor that we chose for our wedding in February. InsyaAllah) & the theme was rustic. It was definitely different from most pelamins that I had seen before

Our friend, Izzat J was there too. He came all the way from KL, singgah KT for his friend's wedding then datang sini for Ahmad's. Gigih nau pakcik sorang tu. Since he was alone & gigih nak pergi kenduri naik taxi -.-', I invited him to carpool sambil bawak jalan-jalan Pengkalan Kubur since he never had a chance to jalan-jalan di Kelate melainkan to attend court matters semata-mata. Lawatan sambil belajar sambil habiskan pitih kekdahnya

Of course I ajak-ed along my friend, Diha to accompany us too. Bertiga lebih baik. What, you think my fiance won't be jealous? We went to Pengkalan Kubur earlier & I bought him some chocolates & Nutella as upah sebab baik hati bagi permission. I love you, A.H. Hihi! ♥

Pengkalan Kubor is a duty free zone situated on Malaysia-Thailand border, about 45 minutes from K.Bharu. So yes, harga chocolates adalah lebih murah di sini compared to other places, at the airports especially. Lols! 

And oh, if datang sini jangan lupa try mee/bihun/megi/kuew tiau cambo Kedai Makan Kak Za situated right before gate keluar yang depan Bangunan Kastam tu. Untuk rasa lebih umph, sila tambah extra cili. Kebabommm! Terus senyap semua orang sebab tahan pedas. Dah la kedai Kak Za kita itu mengamalkan konsep mesra alam i.e no air conditioner. Ini baru tahap cry-me-a-river pedasnyaaaaaaa! Nasib baik after that tak sakit perut

Makan 3 orang plus air 3 gelas = RM19+. Ok la kan?

Bak kata orang Kelate, "Spoon licking good" or "Sedap sengoti tobak ehhhh!"

Morning Person & 15 Syaaban 1435H

I'm not sure whether I'm really a morning person but I do appreciate the shy morning sunshine peeking through the windows while being entertained by the sounds of birds chirping happily in the Mother's garden. And how do you describe the calm feeling when morning breeze greets you?

One of the reasons why I chose to stay & work in my hometown *kisses the ground*

Anyway, selepas azan Maghrib malam ini, masuk 15 Syaaban 1435H (Nisfu Syaaban), malam di mana buku catatan amalan lama akan dibawa naik oleh Malaikat & digantikan dengan buku catatan amalan yang baru

So, I'm taking this opportunity to ask for your forgiveness, kot-kot ada terkasaq bahasa, menguris hati perasaan etc. Kosong-kosong! Let's fill in our new book with a lot of catatan pahala & +ve thoughts & deeds! Amin!

Misi Makan-Makan Pagi Ahad

Assalamualaikum & hi!

It was a beautiful Sunday morning (every holiday morning is beautiful to me, fyi) & since yesterday was YDPA's Hari Keputeraan, Kelantan gets an extra cuti today. Yayyy!

I usually spent my weekends or holidays just staying at home but today was really an exception. Me & my friend, Diha were very ambitious to wake up super early today & have our breakfast at one of the famous kopitiams in Kota Bharu, Kopitiam Kita

The first time we had our breakfast together there was in April & we've been missing its Roti Titab so bad!

Anyhow, despite our plan to wake up super early, we only went to the LalaLand near 2 a.m, whatssap-ing each other, as if esok tak jumpa. Heh! So, you can imagine how hard it was to depart from our beds that we were so close to cancel our plan to having breakfast at Kopitiam Kita (it closes at 1.30 p.m) & go to Oldtown Wakaf Che Yeh instead. Tsk! -.-'

Nonetheless, we arrived at Kopitiam Kita at 9.20 a.m (I think) & it was so embarrassing that we thought that 'we are early!'

... because we were totally wrong!!

I mean, just look at the people queuing to get inside! It was soooooooo full house that I felt a bit scared. Hahah! Finding a parking spot was also a problem

A lesson well learnt; jangan dok menyibuk nak breakfast kat Kopitiam Kita on school holiday. Bagi chance kat tourists la kan? Motif sangat nak menyibuk sekali. Lols! Kesian dorang datang jauh-jauh. Mek tak pe, office mek 3 minutes je kot dari Kopitiam Kita

Feeling disappointed, we then changed our plan. Having breakfast at Restaurant Wau pun not bad. I love its cheese nan

Nasi lemak + cheese nan + air asam boi = happy tummy. Alhamdulillah!

Balik rumah then continue tidur for 2 hours. Oh nikmatnya cuti. Lols! Sekian misi makan-makan pagi Ahad

Me & my friends are saddened by the news of the loss of our schoolmate's husband, Allahyarham Lans Koperal Fifeizzafey Mat Husin in an accident in Lahad Datu yesterday. When I first read/heard about it, it never occurred to my mind that it would happen to someone I know :(

We have no words to describe what we feel for our friend, Hidayah for the loss of her arwah husband. Mohon dear friends & readers to sedekahkan al-Fatihah & pray may Allah grant her the highest level of patient & strength, may she have a smooth & easy pregnancy (I heard she's not doing well. What's more with the overwhelming sadness & such) & be reunited again with her arwah husband in jannah. Amin ya rabbal alamin

We love you, Yah. We hope we could share the pain you've to endure now :(

Kedai Rempit

Assalamualaikum & hi! Selamat hari Khamis! Esok cuti. WoohoO!

We (merujuk kepada officemate & ex-officemate saya, Cik Ira beserta kawan kami, Intan) just recently found a new place for lunch. The kedai makan is not that fancy with beautiful chandelier, air-conditional & all but I really love how laid back the kedai is. Talk about some big shady trees as the roof!

And how I love its maggi sup & air jagung or bandung cincau. Dah la murah! I haven't tried its nasi air. Intan cakap sedap

I'm not sure of the name of the kedai, Abe something something but we call it 'Kedai Rempit' for short. Muahehe! We call it with that name since there are many youngsters who most of them are guys lepaking there. Macam jahat je panggil dorang rempit walhal kereta-kereta dorang boleh tahannn. And 2 kali pergi, 2 kali jugalah terjumpa adik-adik chambering makan kat situ

Anyway, if you're from the traffic light near Kompleks Perumahan Polis Wakaf Mek Zainab, turn left & pergi depan sikit. The kedai is situated on your left side & sebelum jambatan. Depan tu ada gerai pisang goreng
