Me & my friends are saddened by the news of the loss of our schoolmate's husband, Allahyarham Lans Koperal Fifeizzafey Mat Husin in an accident in Lahad Datu yesterday. When I first read/heard about it, it never occurred to my mind that it would happen to someone I know :(

We have no words to describe what we feel for our friend, Hidayah for the loss of her arwah husband. Mohon dear friends & readers to sedekahkan al-Fatihah & pray may Allah grant her the highest level of patient & strength, may she have a smooth & easy pregnancy (I heard she's not doing well. What's more with the overwhelming sadness & such) & be reunited again with her arwah husband in jannah. Amin ya rabbal alamin

We love you, Yah. We hope we could share the pain you've to endure now :(

Me & some of my friends are going to visit her at her parents-in-law's house in Gaal, Pasir Puteh tomorrow evening & we're currently collecting some money to sedekahkan to her. I hope I won't cry tomorrow although I know it will be totally impossible... Al-Fatihah

The barber went to his phone and called his daughter in. It was her! She had also been searching for him and never dated either.

He proposed immediately and they were married for 55 years before her death 5 years ago. He still celebrates her birthday and their anniversary. He takes her picture with him everywhere and kisses her goodnight.

• My LL.B (Hons) convocation in November 2012 -- Seeing my juniors uploading their convocation pictures on Fb last week made me feel old but I'm so happy for them nonetheless. Welcome to the black & white world, guys!
• My Admission as An Advocate & Solicitor of The High Court of Malaya in August 2013 -- aka Being Called to The Malaysian Bar aka Long Call. 3 more months & I'll be celebrating my first anniversary being a lawyer. What a roller-coaster experience. Phewww!
• My Engagement on 10.05.2014 -- Wah! Kelik pah kelik pahh, sudah 2 minggu rupanya mek bergelar tunangan orang. I think it has no difference between before & after the Engagement as we're in LDR except that we're being more serious with the wedding preparation & all

Nantilah update bila ada masa & extra rajin although the first 2 dalam senarai di atas basi already. Better late than never orang kata

Of Choosing Hantaran Watches

Assalamualaikum & hi! 

Immediately after our Engagement, A.H & I have started discussing & planning for our wedding. Although there are a lot of things which aren't yet finalized, we already decided on what should be on our hantaran trays. Talk about being excited to shop :P

Since we're going to exchange watches, A.H introduced me to this website named World of Watches, which has been his favourite for a while. They provide international shipping service & the prices offered are very crazy, as high as 90% discount!

So, for the past few days, we (or rather me since A.H is busy, as usual. Ahem!) have been keeping ourselves busy visiting the website, browsing through thousands of watches, saving the links of the watches I'm keen of & sharing them with each other for opinion & approval. It's fun, I don't mind doing this for our other hantarans. Hehe!

But choosing a perfect watch is not that easy. Rambang mata. Sigh!

Of The Sister's Birthday

Today is my Sister's birthday! Alhamdulillah!

I've to admit, the older we've become, celebrating birthdays is no longer a priority. It's more to 'see the birthday reminder at Fb, click on his/her name, type a birthday wish on his/her wall then bye' nowadays

Anyhow, to my one & only Sister, here goes my birthday speech to you. Ahem!

Happy birthday! *throws water balloons, confetti & budu in tubes etc* How old are you again? 25? 28? 30? 32? 38? :P Sorry, no present or card this year because I'm saving for my wedding. Bahahah! (anyone want to buy one of my kidneys?) 

But could you please consider my love towards your son, Umar, baby-sitting him, making him laugh, my cheeks as his teething tool, tukang pegang dia semasa mandi, kena tarik rambut & kena pukul (that boy really has muscles. Tsk!) etc as my birthday present to you? Umar is so lucky for having a 'maid' with 2 law degrees, if you haven't noticed. I love dukung-ing him, he's my dumb bell. You should continue feeding him with S-26 milk, it makes him happy & not to forget, heavier

I can't wait for Umar's 1st birthday! I want to get him a pair of Elmo shoes!

Sleep vs Coffee & My Oh-So-Awesome Wisdom Teeth

Assalamualaikum & hi!

Today is one of the days that I don't feel like being productive, or in other words I feel so tired to do anything. But sempatlah siapkan 2 surat untuk clients 

You know one of those lazy mornings where you started your day with pressing the snooze button on your hp over & over again. You force yourself to continue sleeping & hope you can fall into that deep sleep again. Suddenly, 5 minutes of extended sleep time means like a world to you

Or perhaps a cup of hot coffee instead of milo

Oh! I think I know who the culprit is. My wisdom teeth!

My wisdom teeth made its first appearance in 2008. I remember the super duper pain I had to bear for almost a week. It was so painful & I was down with a fever, I received a few days of MC, had to skip classes & couldn't swallow properly even my own saliva. I survived with porridge, drank a lot of water & my friends were kind enough to buy me air cap badak & 100plus

Sakit tu not only kat mulut je, it also affected my ears & caused me headache. There were a few times I cried because the pain was no longer intolerable. Wuwuwuwu!

Too bad my wisdom teeth aren't as fun & cute as Ickle & Lardee

It was about 6 years ago. Unfortunately, my wisdom teeth haven't stopped growing yet. Once in three months the pain would come & that's the time when I become so clingy to my tube of Bonjela & mood swings pun terjadi juga. Macam sekarang ni T_T

I think I need to consider to have them removed. Luckily my ex-doormate at Sains Pasir Puteh, Dr Khuza is a dentist at HUSM. Might as well whatssap her asap

Getting Engaged : The Overview

Assalamualaikum & hi!

A.H has been asking me when I'm going to update my blog. Auww! Can you tell that he's my no.1 fan now? :P

I was very busy last week; with the engagement preparation, the engagement ceremony, the kemas-kemas after the ceremony, traveling to KL etc. So, this weekend I took revenge to have some extra sleep time & I finally had time to transfer & edit my engagement photos, all in 3 folders & uploaded some of them at my Fb yesterday. I just wish that I have copies from all the cameras, so that I can choose & upload the best pictures instead of the ones with mata terpejam or mulut ternganga me :P

Travel In Paris

Assalamualaikum & hallo! Apa habaq everyone? ♥

It's almost 1 a.m & I'm still wide awake. Arrived from KL at 8 something p.m yesterday night (Wednesday) & I'm actually so tired mentally & physically. Nasib baik la Firefly tak de delay macam Airasia

Although my boss & I were at KL on Tuesday & Wednesday for a court matter at KL Industrial Court on Wednesday morning, it was actually more like a shopping trip rather than lawyer-ing, judging on how much time we had spent at the malls & kedai-kedai along Jalan Tar within 24 hours. Bahahaha!

Unfortunately, I need to pretend that I've forgotten the amount of money left in my bank accounts. Sigh sighh!

Ok, next month no more buying unnecessary stuff ok, mek? Tapi buying 3 pasang kain for baju kurung tu kira macam necessary jugak what? Mek kan suka berbaju kurung *flips kain like Saloma* ke office & juga hobi menghadiri majlis kenduri kawan-kawan

I mean, it was so rude to not buy anything from this colourful kain cotton shop like this ayte?
Rambang mata, terpaksa beli

And who (well at least for us, cat ladies. Mi-aw! I mean, ahemm!) can say no to this cute Hello Kitty power bank?
Tapi yang ni A.H yang belanja. Tqvm A.H. Hehe! ♥

Esok pagi kerja as usual sebenarnya. Adakah perlu curi-curi tidur dalam surau office tatkala boss menerima clients?

Assalamualaikum & hi! I'm back!

The A.H-Suria Engagement majlis on Saturday, 10/05/2014 went very well. Alhamdulillah. Everything was fine & according to what we had planned; the weather was nice (although it rained before the majlis but being a pluviophile I'm, of course I didn't mind. It had been days/weeks without rain), the guests were happy with the food served, most of my close friends were present, I had the chance to meet A.H's family & relatives from KL, Perlis & Kelate (his youngest sister & cousins are very adorable. They made me feel like a teenager. Hehe!) & most importantly, we already had the date for the akad :)

Will definitely blog about it later when I have time to edit the pictures & write a proper post about it. InsyaAllah

It still feels surreal to me that we're now engaged. Alhamdulillah ♥

The Engagement Preparation (Part 2)

Assalamualaikum & hi everyone!

I had posted about 'The Engagement Preparation' on 26/04/2014. Now that we only have 2 days left before the Engagement this Saturday (10/05/2014), I think I need to go through the list again (added with some extra notes, of course) in case ada anything yang belum settle or missed out

1. The rings

Ok, yang ni ada drama sikit. Not A.H's ring but mine. Sobs!

When A.H told me what happened to my ring over the phone last week, my response was "Hahahahaha!". A.H, on the other hand, sounded sad & frustrated. Masa tu boleh la "Hahahahaha!", now when I'm thinking about it, rasa macam ............ *kuis pasir dengan kaki*

Now, please allow me to membebel a bit *breathes in, breathes out*

When we went to H.J Kota Bharu on 22/03 to hunt for our engagement rings, we found the ring that we like. For that design, the ring comes with 2 different carat. Unfortunately, the ring that we wanted, it needs to be resized & they said they couldn't do it for some reasons that I can't recall anymore. A.H then went to its headquarter in Ampang Point to try his luck a few days later & they said they can resize the ring. "Ok, problem fixed" so we thought

But another problem arouse when they had mistakenly (I don't know either by mistake or carelessness) fixed the ring with different carat that A.H initially wanted. And the salesgirl realized the mistake only when A.H was there at the shop to collect the ring. Dah la A.H yang call dulu dorang tanya dah ready ke belum, not the other way around. I believe the ring was ready to be collected before that lagi. And akak busy sangat ke sampai tak sempat nak check dulu order receipt to confirm on the carat & whatnot? It clearly stated on the paper kan? We thought H.J punya headquarter lagi efficient servicenya

We're very disappointed, obviously

Well, the solution is H.J lends us the ring (with the same design but different carat) for our engagement majlis. Meanwhile, the ring with the right carat will only be ready on 15/05 which is 5 days after the Engagement -.-'

3. The dress + shawls

Haven't searched any tutorial from the net on how to style the halfmoon shawl but I already have my girls to assist me on that. So dear my weary mind, stop worrying will you?

4. The make-up
I seriously need to have enough rest. Like I said, I definitely don't want to be accessorized with a set of huge eye bags on that day. And oh, I pray may my nephew, Umar will behave very well & charmingly so that my Sister can play her job as my mak andam dengan jayanya pada hari itu. Amin...

5. The hantarans

90% done. We got a few barang hantaran changed at the last minute but I think, I like them better

6. The (mini) dais

Done. Considering that the dais is totally DIY, I think the result is quite satisfactory, Alhamdulillah. The Parents deserve to get all the credits! *claps claps!* Tqvm Ma & Abah! ♥


7. The door gifts
From no door gift, to 50 & finally 100, I tried to be minimal with them though. I've already started thinking & surveying on what our door gifts for the wedding shall be. Excited! Kenapa kat sekolah & uni dulu mek tak jadi AJK Hadiah eh?


 8. The guest list
Ada a few important people I haven't invited yet. Need to get it done asap


9. The Photographer
Need to remind my friend, Naqi that his presence is compulsory this Saturday, if not putus kawan. Lols! Kot-kot beliau lupa & balik kampung nun di Besut sana


10. Food & Such
The initial plan was that all guests will be dining inside the house but we decided to have a tent with 5 tables set up outside since A.H's rombongan will be coming with 10 cars, all the way from KL, Perlis & Kelate itself. Muat je sebenarnya but we just want to make everybody comfortable & makan dengan girangnya pada musim kemarau panas cheng-cheng ini

From Single To Engaged

Assalamualaikum & hi!

I'm usually very excited for the weekends but this time, I know my weekend will be totally different. I can't help but to have this kind of "this is going to be my last Thursday & Friday before I change my status from single to someone's fiancee!" thought clouding my mind. Over betui. Heh!

I refuse to freak out *blows nails* although I must add, my brain has been thinking about so many things lately that it's taken a toll on me. Talk about feeling extra tired & the size of my eye bags as an extra accessory for the E day nanti -.-'

Anyway, 3 days left before the Engagement, InsyaAllah & I've been receiving questions like "How's the preparation?' or "Nervous tak?" almost everyday. Makes me feel more nervous actually

 *bites nails*

Meanwhile A.H has kept on saying "Kita akad terus boleh tak?". Ye la tuuu. Walhal both of us haven't attended the kursus kahwin yet. Stress la fikir pasal kursus kahwin ni. Adoi! Tapi betullah, I don't know why I didn't attend the course during uni days, ke masa tu tak ambitious enough to kahwin kerana mengejar 2 gulung ijazah?

As for A.H, he was probably too busy & nerdy to think about marriage a few years ago. Plus, ada ke nikah course in NZ anjuran JAKIM?

Umar's 1st Jatuh Katil Incident (And Hopefully The Last One)

My nephew, Umar fell off the bed last night & hit his head while he was being adventurous trying to mengensot (what's mengensot in English? It's not crawling sebab ni mengensot macam ulat bulu tu) to his favourite place yakni a book shelf next to his parents' bed

Subsequently, dahi dia lebam sikit & ada remark macam Harry Porter punya. It didn't bleed fortunately, Alhamdulillah  but he was crying so loud. Terkejut + sakit probably. Of course being the first grandchild he is, he made everybody worried. He cried tapi lepas bagi susu sebotol, terus zzzZzZ. The Sister was panicked & luckily A.H wasn't in LalaLand yet to give her a free online medical consultation. Hehe!

Anyhow, it's so good to see he's back to being his old cheerful active bubbly self this morning. Alhamdulillah. I gave him some hugs & planted a few kisses on his chubby cheeks before I left to the office (which explain why I was always being late lately. Ahem!)

Umar now dah pandai give people kiss when he's asked to ♥ Tapi kadang-kadang kiss sambil membebel-bebel tak ikhlas. Tak pun dia tolak muka kita terus. Hahahah! Patah hati Mama Sue okay? Dulu bukan ke awak suka made my cheeks as your teething tool? What has happened now? Ain't I your favourite aunt anymore? :'(

Don't grow up too fast Umar. You're just 7 month young. Gigi pun tak dok lagi

Give Angels A Break

Assalamualaikum & hallo!

Last week, while hanging out with Diha at Oldtown White Coffee, Wakaf Che Yeh, among many things that she had asked me was this; 

"Ada beza tak dengan dulu (single) & before tunang?"

I took me a few seconds to digest the question because truth be told, I never thought about the differences really

A.H & I were friends for a month & a half before he decided to get serious. It was fast & I have to admit that in the beginning of our relationship, I was a bit confused & terrified. I wasn't convinced & I told him to convince me. And I'm so glad that he did (with flying colours I may add. Hehe!)

Suffice it to say, my feeling towards him got along well with the time. Betullah orang kata, tak kenal maka tak cinta. Ewahh! Almost everyday I get to learn something new about him despite the long distance relationship (LDR) we're in & it's actually pretty exciting. There were also some things about him that I used to misjudge pre our relationship & I still feel bad about it sometimes. If it wasn't because of A.H's effort & patient, I wouldn't have known the real A.H

Berbalik kepada soalan Diha di atas tadi, I can't remember what my exact answer was but Diha had actually helped me to rephrase it yakni;

"Hidup lebih bermatlamat"

Lols! So skema!

But it's true. Knowing that you're preparing yourself to spend your future with someone you trust & love (I've been trying to avoid myself from using this word actually :P), trying to be a better person in all aspects of life (isteri & anak solehah, ibu mithali, mama cat yang penyayang. InsyaAllah! Ok, what else?) planning things together, berangan-angan etc have made my life more bermatlamat & meaningful. Alhamdulillah! All in all, everyday is a happy day. Hehe!

7 days before the engagements & the preparation hasn't 100% completed. Sempat lagi kan? May Allah ease our affairs & make things smooth & as planned, Amin...


P/s: I was terlampau rajin a few weeks ago, so I created & edited these 2 cards using Paint & Picasa. Not that I'm going to print them anyway, just to share them with friends via whatssap sebab senang nak include some details terus. And of course I didn't conceal A.H's full name on the real cards. Hehe!

30 days of April 2014 had passed & now let us welcome May! *claps claps* As usual, the highlights of this month will/would be;

• 01/05, Thursday -- My cousin, Afif Asyraf's akad nikah with his gadis pilihan from Pasir Puteh. Barakallah! May Allah bless your marriage till Jannah with a lot of happy things & barakah & dipermudahkan urusan the spouses dunia & akhirat! Amin..

• 10/05, Saturday -- The day A.H & I will be engaged. InsyaAllah ♥ I pray may everything will turn out as planned & may Allah make things easy for us, our families & everyone involved. Amin...

• 13/05, Tuesday -- A trip to KL with the Boss to attend a court matter at KL Industrial Court on the next day, 14/05. Can you tell that I'm quite excited this time? Ahem! :P

• 16/05, Friday -- My friend, Cikgu Dayah's birthday yang juga jatuh pada Hari Guru. Untunggggg sangat celebrate birthday sekali dengan Hari Guru. Double celebration orang kata! Mesti dapat banyak presents!

• 21/05, Wednesday -- My Sister's 32th birthday. Hurm... can you consider me being Umar's most favourite aunty & my cheeks as his teething tools as my birthday present to you?

And Happy Labour Day to anyone who receives salary slip at the end of the month (like moi) & wishes how you can just stay at home but gaji tetap jalan (like I always feel)! #dilemaseorangpekerjamakangaji
